www.tateward.com/auction/search?au=23&sd=2&pp=96&so=0&pn=1
Apologies to anyone who had issues with viewing/bidding, these issues were caused by the volume of people trying to log on. We worked our hardest to remedy them yesterday. If the lot you were interested in passed then please contact nick@tateward.com for aftersale enquires.
There are a number of quality works available with motivated sellers so get in touch early to avoid missing them.
Whilst other houses are cancelling their sales calendars we remain committed to providing a service to our buyers and sellers. All sales moving forward will be online only until the situation allows us to resume our live viewings at the Truman Brewery.
Our next sale will be at the end of April, if you have work to consign please contact us asap. Space will be limited and we are now finding ourselves oversubscribed for sales.

The Sotheby's auction also showing some high bids. Global recession or not, it looks like Banksy prints are still on the up.

it wasn’t withdrawn but due to some issues it wasn’t viewable on all platforms. It passed so if its of interest drop Nick a mail (Nick@tateward.com) to discuss aftersales. One sold the day before at £6k hammer as a guide.

Did it sell?
Bad timing with having building works but at least I know the owner is considering selling

I believe that receipts from a Chicken Cottage in Croydon are considered a good substitute for a CoA on these.

TateWard • Art Auctions 🇬🇧, by daniel3886 on Jun 10, 2020 16:08:41 GMT 1, If anyone has any questions regarding provenance or condition please get in touch with Harry@tateward.com We will send additional pictures/video to prospective buyers.
On the issue of the correct attribution of Banksy Ephemera this is currently under discussion. Artsy have been contacted via Pest Control in a wider effort to address the large number of fakes that feature on their platform. They have asked that all non COA works are designated “After Banksy”.
Pieces such as Boxset’s, Wall Sections which come with receipts which are officially sold by Pest Control/Walled of Hotel are clearly not “After” so how they’re attributed in the long term needs to be decided. In the interim we may change all ephemera to “After Banksy” on Artsy to comply with their request.
All of the ephemera is checked and examined by us pre sale. We value our reputation and the trust buyers place in us so if we’ve listed a work we are confident in its authenticity. Further to that if any work is proven to be fake or counterfeit we will issue a full refund. I hope this reassures any buyers to bid with confidence.

How can you possibly attribute art pieces from the walled off hotel that are sold for a couple hundreds to be Banksy? Other artists are involved with the hotel and the art sold. Who would you attribute these to if not Banksy? Banksy purposely does not tell you who made the box sets or wall sections, and advertises both products on his own instagram account as his (from his hotel). They come with receipt and are numbered. I don't know why you mention the price, especially since POW sold all Banksy prints for very low prices. If anything, the low retail price is actually a better signal that they are indeed Banksy pieces.

The works are constructed to his design and specification. In the same way most other artists use assistants for large scale production of studio work and other officially sanctioned work.
If you buy a piece of work from a shop that Banksy himself has opened and is selling products should they then be classified as “after banksy”?
What is your view of products from the GDP shop? Some do not come with coa’s and are almost certainly not by Banksy’s hand should they also be classified in the same way as a sticker or poster?
We aim to be as open an transparent as possible with cataloguing of each work. Each buyer must do their own due diligence on any piece they’re considering buying. We are here to help with that process.
