TateWard โข Art Auctions ๐ฌ๐ง, by Patrick 01 on Mar 22, 2024 13:23:08 GMT 1, Hirsts and noirs did not perform well at all! Going by Sothebys earlier this week Hirstโs older (stronger) works like the woodcuts are still faring well. You canโt judge his market on the Heni stuff

Going by Sothebys earlier this week Hirstโs older (stronger) works like the woodcuts are still faring well. You canโt judge his market on the Heni stuff Agreed. I was concerned that all his mass produced Heni tat would have a negative impact on his older spot work but they seem to still be performing really well.

TateWard โข Art Auctions ๐ฌ๐ง, by sevrin on May 30, 2024 10:17:35 GMT 1, Indeed, I think they had to lower the estimates after the last few poor auction results they had, secondary prints and multiple market has fallen off a cliff and reality has finally kicked in! now all they have to do is lower their buyers commision to 20% and they may start doing well again, it's ridiculous that they are charging 25% and Christie's and Sotheby's are charging 20% imo.

I factor in approx 33% in total after adding VAT on top of the buyers fee plus 4% ARR. Itโs about time they dropped their fees as it puts me off bidding a decent price.
