Great idea by Graffitiprints to hinder the bots!!!! Saw this on there instagram page "25 pieces of @martinwhatson new print going back up online at 4.30pm, changed the description last second before I released and 25 people checked out instantly with the old description cheeky monkeys. What's simple way to beat bot! All names noted for future sales too"

This manoeuvre only worked because they used the backdoor and gave themselves away.

Otherwise it will be hard to detect if they go through the front and checkout like everybody else.

Buyers can't beat bots. If you got through it just means that there wasn't enough interest from people using bots.

If I’m understanding correctly he changed it at the exact time it was released?

I suspect they hold a bunch for replacements just in case some show up damaged. Although 25% might be a bit high, I would think they would want to hold at least 10% or so for this. Whatever is left after gets held for future sales.

it was 25 people checking out direct from check out, bypassing the need to add to cart at 3pm.

the description change brought them to our attention.

since then we have gain a lot of knowledge from a few people coming forward to help

we continue to try and sell prints to people who want to frame.

Not foolproof plan but GP should be commended for trying to address a growing problem.

1-5 sometimes, you over estimate what we keep

we have to sell editions to pay for them and keep marching on.

Only sold to 2 galleries to my knowledge on this both long term old existing customers

Restricted all to one version on pre order too, Gallery or collector

not sure whey GP needs to clarify their process.  they've done so MANY times on here before and have always been extremely up front and truthful about their release approach.  as for the vault sales.... a lot of those editions are one offs, variant papers, APs, PPs, etc and none of the vault releases have 25% of the edition available.  usually one or two max.

have no idea how the bots were backdooring and direct purchasing but applaud GP for the effort to level the playing field.

They were very up front and honest about selling only 30% of the Still Life prints even when caught out with proof.

I only put correct figures in just before a release from spreadsheet

At that time I could not be bothered to defend myself against the haters here who pop up on every artists I print for threads and anything to do with us to have a go

It sounds like you have got really unlucky there ... Graffitiprints artworks have always arrived in excellent order here ... and I'm sure thats true with most of us here on the UAA... The packaging etc is always A++++

... I really dont know what you want  from them ... ?? They produce amazing prints, from top quality current artists, they arrive quickly in excellent order, with a COA, with FREE stickers ...

First Whatson I’d tried for since my Climber but failed miserably. I was 50/50 on this tiger image but thought I’d try due to the quality of the Climber when it arrived... top notch. I was hoping the same with this one, that I’d like it more once I’d seen it. Unfortunately not to be.
