Graffitiprints attempt to stop the bots, by Pjam on Nov 26, 2017 19:13:19 GMT 1, Itโs quite simple deductive reasoning. If GP did in fact refund 25 โBotโ users you would see sales listings that ended prematurely on eBay and at least one single person complaining about the refund.

Whether the โ25โ were EBay flippers or not, they gained an advantage by using technology. GP levelled the playing field.
Hats off in my book.

So people list on eBay before they even have the boys place the order? I donโt think so.
Also what are you going to do with the pez?

Didnโt they have a back door link? I donโt think it was f5ing?

Err no obviously. Using whatever they did to get through the check out with an old description, yes.
If checkout was instantaneous, then something is suspicious.

Graffitiprints attempt to stop the bots, by Deleted on Jan 8, 2018 11:05:17 GMT 1, Great idea by Graffitiprints to hinder the bots!!!! Saw this on there instagram page "25 pieces of @martinwhatson new print going back up online at 4.30pm, changed the description last second before I released and 25 people checked out instantly with the old description cheeky monkeys. What's simple way to beat bot! All names noted for future sales too" it was 25 people checking out direct from check out, bypassing the need to add to cart at 3pm. the description change brought them to our attention. since then we have gain a lot of knowledge from a few people coming forward to help we continue to try and sell prints to people who want to frame. Dear Graffitiprints,
I stumbled on this conversation and I am wondering...
You talk about canceling orders from bots using the "backdoor" (I suppose ytou talk about the direct checkout link? That skips the "add to cart" part), but you don't need a bot to do this, so what if I use the direct checkout link in order to go faster and have a better chance at copping?
Does that mean my order will be cancelled even if I didn't use a bot? How is this fair?
Some people have faster computers, faster internet connection, etc... By using the direct checkout link, I am only using the tools available in order to add a rare piece to my collection, does not sound like something forbidden...
Maybe I am mistaken, anyway, I thought that you could make all that clear for me and others here
Thanks!

I've been scoring drops for years and gotten pretty good by learning from mistakes, this isn't something that should be shared IMHO. It's like anything else in life, the harder you try the better you will become:)

Yes we will cancel any orders not placed in the right way
Jumping the add to cart esp
Yes I realise now it's not a bot.
Because of the 25 refunds we did that day for checkout irregularities we had some collectors come forward and offer so very interesting advice on checkout and bots!
Also had some trainer sellers get in touch and offered us advice
We are even listed on a site that's sells bots along with all the yeezy sellers and other over subscribed product sellers
We are constantly trying to make it a leval playing field for buyers and will be trying lots of new things going forward from the advice we have received
They were adding stickers into cart then taking URL from whatson product and replacing sticker URL with whatson
This adds whatson to your cart even though says coming soon
Then checking it out at 3pm exactly
We only realised when some dum arse bought a few times well before release the 1 piece we had online which kept making the product sell out on the release site and make people panic they missed release
Next up is fanakapan HOPE at of the month and we should be trying a few things with that to try and beat the bots and anyone else not checking out like the vast majority of our regular collectors

Graffitiprints attempt to stop the bots, by clueless on Jan 8, 2018 16:49:59 GMT 1, How do Shopify sites work? I was always under the impression that if the transaction goes through and you get a successful order screen, everything worked well. I base that assumption because on the times when I've been denied due to fraud (by my bank), the checkout process was halted and I was unable to complete checkout.
Has anyone ever experienced a fully completed checkout but then told there was a "problem during checkout" and your card/bank never was charged?
*Still a little down about losing the Tiger after i completed checkout*
Now just looking for a better understanding of how the system works so that even if I get a successful checkout in the future, I am thinking I have to quickly monitor my pending charges to know whether or not to go back and try to purchase again.

Graffitiprints attempt to stop the bots, by Pjam on Jan 8, 2018 16:57:20 GMT 1, Ugh, what's annoying is Graffiti Prints will have the Tiger for sale for $800-$1000 during the next vault sale but couldn't honor your order. GP is lame AF and the only people supporting them are Noobs or VIP that get early access to every print....

Rather see GP have it for sale during the next vault sale then see you have it for sale 5 min after you checkout! Lol

Are they? I have never bought anything off them, and am not exactly a Noob, I don't suppose I am one of their VIPs seeing as I am not even on their mailing list.
However I do support what they are doing, I suppose they have the artist to answer to if the print doesn't sell out.
Cant be easy doing this stuff, and taking the time to refund people who they say are flouting things must be a hassle. hopefully its nice and profitable for them

Graffitiprints attempt to stop the bots, by Pjam on Jan 8, 2018 17:13:36 GMT 1, I collect art and NEVER flip GP (not really anything flip worthy outside of Whatson)
I'm talking about the OP that was refunded "problem during checkout" and your card/bank never was charged"
