I'm sorry but that buddha print is bloody awful. I rarely say I don't like something on this site but that is so poorly executed it's embarrassing.

Which is basically a big f-u to the image and it's all about any potential return. If you loved the image that much then you would pay for it.
Which hazards the possible upcoming argument of if banksy released his next print at closer to 1 -1.5k

Nick Walker "In Gods We Trust" 13th Oct, by wizzy on Oct 16, 2010 12:21:59 GMT 1, Damned if you do etc. J, meslef i dont care for the image although i see the message, i wouldnt want it on my wall at 50 quid let alone 600. I realise a profit margin has to be factored into the cost but maybe this could have just been a token cost to ensure a sell out to get things moving along with the rest of the show?. That and some chocolate.

I said in a previous post that I would struggle to justify paying Β£300 for this. Makes D*Faces new print well worth the money.

at what point does your ridiculous argument about the cost of the print stop? not everything i would buy for Β£300 i would pay Β£600 for. you'd get more sense out of a 6 year old

Nick Walker "In Gods We Trust" 13th Oct, by bullet on Oct 16, 2010 13:11:48 GMT 1, If you put down the brick wall for a few seconds you will realise that no one buys stuff now without thinking of an investment. If they were all Β£100 they would have gone instantly. That's just how a consumer world works and don't pretend you are any different.

Nick Walker "In Gods We Trust" 13th Oct, by patrese on Oct 16, 2010 14:38:30 GMT 1, if you sell Β£10 notes for Β£5 they would also go instantly. if you sell them for Β£20 they would not. which is why if you like something for Β£300 and think that's what it's worth, that does not mean you would pay Β£600 for it. That's how a consumer world works.

I understand where your coming from. But to say that people only buy art while thinking of it as an investment is a huge generalization and clearly wrong. I just commissioned an expensive family portrait, no investment potential in that.

Nick Walker "In Gods We Trust" 13th Oct, by bullet on Oct 16, 2010 15:12:53 GMT 1, It does on this forum.
Things people look at when buying a print IMO...
1. Artist 2. Price 3. Image
The dface thing just summed it up.
People saw the name, the price then could not give a shit about the image but were still asking people to get them one.
It's just plain mental.

Just because a few people ask someone else to get them a print of which they don't even know the image yet shouldn't count out the majority who wouldn't do that just because they are not posting on the thread.

Hi, i am desperately looking to buy one or possibly more portraits of Slammers family, willing to pay shedloads over the odds.
