OBEY - Surfer print: J'Boy's version coming soon?, by jamesreeve5 on Sept 19, 2009 1:49:26 GMT 1, Looks like some other artist... I can't really put my finger on his name, but he doesn't make enough posters with numbers on them for people on this forum to care about him anyways.

you daft winky wanker. that's terrible advice. he doesn't need any of that, as he's perfectly fine where he is in his career. i don't think he gets electricity at his flat let alone have a computer.

OBEY - Surfer print: J'Boy's version coming soon?, by bullet on Sept 19, 2009 12:01:24 GMT 1, you can't get anywhere near that level of character and style in photoshop or illustrator even by customising a preset setting etc
sorry i disagree, you just need to know the correct way to do it and it takes a few minutes

sorry I disagree with that, without blowing my own trumpet, i like to think Im pretty slick in illustrator and Photoshop and think there is no way this is done in a few minutes. Look at the water in the foreground, looks like it's been hand drawn with the pen tool in illustrator to me.

I think if he gets a bit bigger, maybe POW will pick him up. Then he'd be guaranteed a place in the history books for sure.
As for electricity in his flat (actually its a house) my old boss made sure the lights were always on. He's not too crazy about computers though, prefers whiskey and conversation instead.

Are u serious? He's bigger than most of the artists on POW! POW is'nt that much of a big deal and Shepard Fairey can and does do just fine without them. Read this:

lololol.. I guess context really is key...
My comments were part of the side conversation poking fun at how this print is a ripoff of Raymond Pettibon's wave paintings (Pettibon is one of Sheps favorite artists, although on these forums people usually avert their eyes to his work much like they would a bum standing next to their ATM machine).
Like a swine returns to it's filth.

Freerange, after that, I think you ought to post a pic of your willy and challenge Shepard Fairey to post a pic of his to show who has the bigger willy.

How do we know you have'nt been on it all day? Really it would be fair if someone posts the image and we can even give you double your 5mins and make it 10. Then we know for sure. What do u reckon?

This would be a literal "fair" translation of the rules. It seems odd that someone would need to start and stop doing something that only takes them 5 minutes to finish. That being said, 5 minutes is frequently a figure of speech, used to convey a time period from anywhere between 5 - 59 minutes.
