Shepard Fairey - Soup Can II, by graffoto on Jun 11, 2009 18:40:25 GMT 1, I'd be suprised - but good for you if it does go through ok:)
I got one on the night at $500 but have just found I still one at $550 in basket at work from yesterday - as i was considering getting one for a friend - but didn't - even though i closed the site - wtf
- it seems thier site does not clear its cookies - or whatever the jargon is... there might be some problems with this release.....

Shepard Fairey - Soup Can II, by nah on Jun 11, 2009 19:02:58 GMT 1, Nothing wrong with that, just donยดt slay flipping on your own site and then pull a trick like this, or deal with a shady outfit like Iconoclast. The image is nothing close to being original and the colourway is horrible. Supply and demand indeed, hype at itยดs finest and people are apparently prepared to pay 1K for it. โMy prints are priced well below market value because I want them to be affordable to true fans of my art. I have no problem with people collecting my prints and selling older prints to free up funds to purchase newer prints they prefer. However, some people buy the prints just to re-sell them on Ebay immediately. I call these people "flippers" and they keep a true fan of the piece from being able to purchase it at a low price. There are people who will cherish a reasonably priced piece of my art and they are my priority. Sincerely, Shepard Faireyโ Statement from Iconoclast: โIn regards to the pricing of our editions, as we've stated, selling our editions at fair market value as well as increasing the price of an edition as it sells out is normal practice with all fine arts publishers. We have stated that we will at least start the Fairey prints at $250 (actually below market value in our opinion) but they will go up in price as the edition sells out. The reasons we sell all of our editions at market price should be obvious to you, including doing our best to compensate the artists what they deserve for their hard work and talent. In this case, selling our prints at a fair market value price also does something else. It helps place and keep the artwork in the hands of real collectors who are passionate about the art instead of eBay flippers who have done nothing to earn that profit...and ensures the artists make the money they deserve, not the flippers.โ These guys seriously makes me sick, f**k this s**t.
wow

Shepard Fairey - Soup Can II, by checkles on Jun 30, 2009 9:39:47 GMT 1, Iconoclast are a bunch of Wankers , they emailed me to discuss when I bought my print saying that there was a note on the website saying if anyone wants to purchase from now on they must contact the gallery to complete there order I saw no such sign they have taken my money for express shipping and still no print, then they said I can't have my print as it was in my basket for too long due to a technical error.
Then they gave me these options a refund (which would take 5 days) or I can wait till they decide what price they should offer me the print at but until then keep my money.
If I had the time i'd be on a plane getting ready to dish out some slaps.
For those who bought on the same day no basket delay even if you paid for express shipping they won't be dispatched for 2 more weeks ( 1 month in total) as I quote " 200 orders is a lot to get through where overwhelmed " Ryan Munch Sales Director
If you are running a business and your job is to sell and send prints and it takes you a month to ship 200 orders...... GIVE UP YOUR SH* T !!!!!!

Hope it works for you.

I got it in my basket at $500 and went to check out and it and wouldnt allow it I tried and tried and tried it kept failing then I went back on the site a day and a half later and it was still in my basket and I tried to check out again and it let me do so. Not really my fault, I think they should honor all purchases especially when they've taken payment and THEY should put this one down to be an inexperienced online seller and make proper provisions for the next drop.

The only reason you would regret it now is if you wanted to flip , I thought it was to expensive at 550 thats why I didn't go ahead with purchase ,but if I manage to get another colour for 250 I would definitely buy.

It sounds like iconclast will offer them at what they sold out at ($2750?)

Shepard Fairey - Soup Can II, by T-Bro on Jul 3, 2009 21:31:54 GMT 1, I have to stick up for Iconaclast. They have been nothing but impressive.
They are not a firm that churns out prints - they set prices of prints like many high quality photography sites. I wasn't aware that as an original print owner i could buy the set. I spoke to them after i purchased the second print and they have bent over backwards so i could get the set. I wouldnt hesitate purchasing off them again.
When they release the next print they wont stay cheap for very long - they would rather they sell out slowly. fact.

Shepard Fairey - Soup Can II, by dkla on Jul 4, 2009 3:26:23 GMT 1, Shep Fairey releases WAY too many prints; they just aren't special anymore. Not even this Iconoclast one imo. I had one in my cart for a nanosecond when it was released - caught in the excitement for a moment - then immediately let it go once I came back to my senses - I wouldn't even pay $500 for it. To Ronhill - I wouldn't pay $250 for it. Maybe my pov is unique, but imo Shep's lost his mojo some time ago

Shepard Fairey - Soup Can II, by T-Bro on Jul 4, 2009 19:22:21 GMT 1, i agree and disagree. some of his prints are special - others arn't - i remember when POW had a shed load of banksy prints on their site - i didn't buy them all - the rats never really appealed and neither did the soup cans - which their were how many coulourways? heinzsight (see what i did there - sometimes i am too clever for my own good) says that i should have purchased these, but only for resale value - i actually think the shep soup cans are wicked.
