Paypal defaults to taking the money straight out of your bank account, it's better to override this and to use a credit card as the funding source. Then in a dispute you claim back from the credit card company and not paypal who might not care about you but do care about the credit card companies.

The Leonard Street Gallery, by darrenrapley on Jul 5, 2008 21:27:06 GMT 1, Went there today to see if anyone was there. I planned to padlock myself to something inside until they found my paid for statue. Alas - no sign of life at all though.
Pure Evil was in his place and very friendly though. First time I met the chap and I must say he doesn't come across as being evil whatsoever.

The Leonard Street Gallery, by Deleted on Jul 6, 2008 12:37:28 GMT 1, i had my lv child canvas for sale at tlsg until a few days before all this stuff kicked off. my mrs told me to collect it as she wanted to sell it privately, thankfully i listened to her for a change. i'd had a couple of wispered rumours that there was trouble brewing and when i told a couple of people i had picked it up they said how lucky i was to have got it back at all. not sure what would have happened if i had left it there, but i think my wife would have drawn blood. she's been desperate for a new kitchen for ages.

The Leonard Street Gallery, by zippyblip on Jul 11, 2008 11:29:12 GMT 1, Have a lot of people been left out of pocket? - I recall from the recent threads that both artists and customers were awaiting payment or prints. Guess they are creditors now
I liked this gallery - shame it all went so wrong. Did it go into receivership/went bust or have they just wrapped it up? Website info is pretty minimal......

The Leonard Street Gallery, by Oliver Garland on Jul 11, 2008 15:58:10 GMT 1, They owe me about £2,500 of goods and they stalled me on them for about over a month, what should I do? Does anyone have any contact information for anyone who was at the gallery, cause its just pure robbery and Im not letting them get away with this at all as Im a poor student that have saved that money for the art.

I heard the owner had a massive problem with the sniffy(booger sugar). If that is the case, i'm sure buyin' the next gram carries more importance to this guy than anything else.
Sorry to hear that, man... That sux!
Student or not, that's a knot of cash that's tough to walk away from.
