banksy police car

Hi everyone I'm new to this site my friend suggested it to me and said you may be able to help.
i've recently split with my hubby and out of the divorce settlement along side other things i have a framed banksy,
It is a picture of a police car which has had the wheels stolen. The picture it self is on cardboard it is not signed and i dont have any proof .
I seem to remember it having a banksy tag on the back in red paint but cant be sure as i cant get in the frame.

1. What i would like to know is there anybody that can authenticate this for me?

2. is it worthless with no proof?

Yes graffoto same as the pic you posted but without the blue cross.. how do i post pictures ?iam trying to do it now.

your best bet is to contact one of the major auction houses. they'll not authenticate it themselves - but they'll know who can.

without provenance, no gallery can authenticate it, how would they know if it is real??? Also without provenance, i am sorry to say, the frame is worth more than the print

Not to sure about it, I know we have had it about four years now i dont know where he got it or how much he payed for it, I know he wants it back and means alot to him.
Dont want to come accros as a bitch but he's not getting it back.

Very nice piece! ;D I think only Banksy himself could say if its real or not but saying that Im sure a good few people would take the risk so it could go for a pretty heavy price if put on ebay.

ok got a heads up on this - this was never a print, this was only ever a stencil painting on canvas, so sorry to say babyjane, its not a real banksy
