Shepard Fairey + The Most Fan Friendly Artist?, by matbat on Mar 6, 2007 15:08:57 GMT 1, I checked my refunded amount last night and saw it was almost Β£2.00 less than what i bought the print for. This must be to do with exchange rates.
Be careful, you might not end up with a print but also have to pay for the priveledge.
Put me off tonights lottery.

Same problem (see above). Stupid capitalists doing currency trading.

Shepard Fairey + The Most Fan Friendly Artist?, by smashedhat on Mar 6, 2007 15:35:54 GMT 1, I think it's paypal taking their pound of flesh. They charge a 1.9 - 2.9% plus 2.5% currency conversion, if these charges are applied on the payment and the refund they would amount to around Β£2, whereas conversion rates aren't this volatile.
On the plus side the dollar is quite weak against the pound so if you are lucky to get a print it will be quite cheap!

Shepard Fairey + The Most Fan Friendly Artist?, by bombshelter on Mar 20, 2007 21:51:48 GMT 1, Obey art prostitute box set its not cheap $250+$50 to post to uk.
PROSTITUTE BOX SET $250.00 OBEY::ART PROSTITUTE BOX SET Art Prostitute was launched in April of 2003 as a completely self funded and distributed art and design publication, based in Texas. The inaugural issue's highlight was a feature interview with Evan Hecox and that the issue came with a print from each of its featured artists. Art Prostitute continued to evolve the publication and has since interviewed and published prints from 30 artists, many of which are some of the most significant artists of our time. Art Prostitute is now based in Dallas, TX where the publication and gallery are providing a much needed boost to Deep Ellum.
To archive their first 8 issues and to celebrate the next evolution of Art Prostitute (the move to a biannual book format) AP teamed up with long time friend Shepard Fairey to release the definitive Obey Art Prostitute Boxed Set. These custom made literature boxes house all 8 issues, including the out of print Issue number 2 which is housed in a full color sleeve and signed by Shepard Fairey. The sets will ship with 12 flat, 15x15, full color, offset prints (issues 6-8) and 18 folded, 17x17, full color, offset prints, which came packaged with the earlier issues. Each box lid bears a limited edition stamp and is hand numbered in an edition of 100. This will be the last time you will be able to get issue 02, which featured Shepard Fairey, Isabel Samaras and Jeff Soto.
Here is the list of artists featured issue by issue. 01: Evan Hecox, Will Rhoten, Matt Hawthorne, Jordan Stone 02: Shepard Fairey, Isabel Samaras, Jeff Soto 03: Dave Kinsey, Rik Catlow, Angela Boatwright, Matt Owens 04: Ryan McGinness, David Choe, The Girl Skateboards Art Dump, Michael & Laura Leon 05: Gary Baseman, Tiffany Bozic, Kozyndan, Cody Hudson
These are the artists whom all the prints included are by... 06: Rob and Christian Clayton, Brendan Monroe, Florencio Zavala, Seonna Hong 07: Camille Rose Garcia, National Forest, Mike Slack, Todd St. John & Gary Benzel 08: Mark Ryden, Richard Colman, Swoon, Erick Swenson

Shepard Fairey + The Most Fan Friendly Artist?, by pezlow on Mar 21, 2007 10:04:39 GMT 1, It's not cheap but IMO still pretty good value given that you get 8 magazines and 30 prints (albeit of the unlimited offset variety). These magazines don't come up on the bay for sale very often but when they do they tend to sell well.

Took an absolute age to go through the ridiculous checkout procedure and was timed out at each stage about 50 times but I have had email confirmation from OG that I have bought the prints. And we think POW is bad....
