Confirmed it sold for over £300k today.

Apparently the ap annotation was the reason it went for such a high amount even though the print is exactly the same as all the rest 🤷‍♂️

yes it did hammer @55k. A little disappointed but 2 more coming this month. I'll be watching tomorrow.

- three tiny, soft vertical creases at the centre of the extreme upper sheet edge; a further small, soft vertical crease to the centre of the extreme left sheet edge, only visible under close inspection
- a few very minor, small indents to the lower left extreme sheet edge
- the sheet attached to backing board in several places alongside the edges, verso
In very good condition. Framed. The full sheet visible in the frame. Unexamined outside the frame.

For anyone curious, the IFTL condition is, well, you can read.

Lot 225. Banksy (British 1974-), ‘I Fought The Law', 2004

‘Vertical waving to the sheet, this is most prominent to the lower half
Discoloration to the lower edge of the sheet as a result of moisture, this raises approximately 15mm upwards at the highest point and does not run into the main border/image
A small area of edgewear to the lower right-hand corner
Part of the blind stamp is missing, the sheet has been measured with full margins, the 'cut off' blind stamp is from the time of production opposed to the sheet being trimmed
Two abrasions to the right-hand black border, close to the standing figure's shoulder
The signature and numbering are all clean and crisp
Some other small markings to the sheet, most notable to the black background above the 'G'
No markings/adhesives present to the reverse of the sheet from the previous framing
This work could be greatly improved by a qualified paper restorer
Tate Ward would be happy to assist with the restoration of this work at the Buyers Request

My firm moved office last year, and I had one under my desk, still in the tube, that I hadn't managed to take home.

It wouldn't fit in my packing crate, so I offered it around my team for a couple of hundred quid. No takers.

As a seller, why would you place prints at Tate ward and not one of the big 2? I assume fees but they can't be that much lower compared to the buyer base the big 2 would have

The only reason I can think of is perhaps they wouldn't touch them as without COA and legalities around assurance for potential buyers?
