The Connor Brothers π¬π§ Mike Snelle & James Golding, by Viking Surfer on Dec 19, 2017 2:22:23 GMT 1, I for one actually really like the Connor brothers. I'm not a fan of their early works or this mass produced modern stuff, but a lot of the bastardised oils / etchings etc I think are awesome.
Their work is also in the private collection of the Victoria and Albert museum which is pretty badass.

The Connor Brothers π¬π§ Mike Snelle & James Golding, by Winks on Dec 19, 2017 7:33:10 GMT 1, Totally disagree It is up to members to make their own opinions of art and artists. It is members responsibility to ensure that fraudulent activity is highlighted but this is step too far. I deleted my post as to not disrupt the OPs thread but how is this a step too far in calling out this artist? The Connor Brothers did sell their art for profit under false pretense. The very definition of fraud in fact. This discussion should be in another thread ultimately and I wonβt say anymore here.
Calling out an artist is not a step too far. Calling out an artist on a sales thread is.
The guy selling this has contributed on on here, heβs put together a decent enough post and look what has happened.

The Connor Brothers π¬π§ Mike Snelle & James Golding, by moron on Dec 19, 2017 9:20:59 GMT 1, looking to sell the below to make way for some further work from the artists. Print is framed - if interested DM for framed pics as having a shocker uploading them. all of their works are currently sold at HU/Maddox so an opportunity to get one of their best etchings imo... 2016 19th Century Bastardized engraving Signed by the artists 64.5 x 92 cm Original Looking for offers in excess of Β£2.5k would prefer UK based deal. "an opportunity to get one of their best etchings"
Which part of this etching did the Connor Brothers actually make?

The Connor Brothers π¬π§ Mike Snelle & James Golding, by moron on Dec 19, 2017 11:06:56 GMT 1, "an opportunity to get one of their best etchings" Which part of this etching did the Connor Brothers actually make? Which part of the Shark did Damien Hirst actually make? The shark made itself and Hirst got the idea from a shark exhibited in a window by another artist. fat coke head Charles Saatchi backed Hirst with his Saatchi and Saatchi money and got Hirsts fat shark splashed all over the media because of his media contacts, some of who are also coke heads. All of this is how the media manipulates the minds of the public. Then some coke head luvvies and coke head auctioneers bid up the prices of Hirsts crap sold by some coke head dealers to coked up hedge fund types, who all made a lot of money from this Hirst art scam.
This etching wa snot created by the Connor Bro's and all of this so called art by he like sof Connor Bros, Shrigley etc etc etc is no better than what people used to write on bog walls in dodgy pubs back in the day when the likes of dodgy geezers dodgy dealings in dodgy mot's and car tax discs was the height of criminality. Nowadays the art world like the media promotes more and more BS as art and if you don't like or understand it, eans you can't afford it or you are thick as a brick exhibited in the dodgy Tate gallery curated by dodgy curators some of who could be on coke and who all suck each others dodgy weeners like Anthony Blunt whilst promoting dumbing down because they are dodgy.
Anyway GLWTS

The guy selling this has contributed on on here, heβs put together a decent enough post and look what has happened. This problem has arisen because of a post claiming The Connor Brothers are something they are not. Which required a direct response in this thread. The post was well intentioned with respect to the OP, but I would say falls short of their duty to fellow members. Required....really!!

The Connor Brothers π¬π§ Mike Snelle & James Golding, by settingson on Feb 14, 2018 16:40:55 GMT 1, Saw one of these framed up and was very impressed with how it looked. Very striking and looked far more expensive than it is. Unfortunately too big for the space I have available atm but I have always been drawn to this print. Keep intending to pick up a showcard with it on as I've seen them on the bay but never got round to it. Now am I sure I haven't got space for it! lol

and giclee...cmon. Let's see some effort for that price.

The Connor Brothers π¬π§ Mike Snelle & James Golding, by Winter on Mar 8, 2018 13:30:13 GMT 1, I just think theyβve deliberately used that swear word because they know itβs popular with Harland Miller work. Thereβs times when a swear word adds something and I donβt think it adds anything to this. Not against swearing - I love swearing.
