The Connor Brothers π¬π§ Mike Snelle & James Golding, by The Silence on Feb 4, 2017 16:55:07 GMT 1, Probably better to post my request here. Those of you who know me know that my usual preference is Banksy, Invader and Harland (with a little Lichtenstein on the side) however I'm looking to branch out. Been looking at the Connor Brothers lately. Bought a few prints to start me off but now looking at some originals. Does anyone have any of the Pulp Fiction hand painted books or the hand painted originals? Specifically Every Angel Has A Past or Sane Men.
London based would be better. Send me a message with the details/prices etc.

The Connor Brothers π¬π§ Mike Snelle & James Golding, by Winks on Nov 8, 2017 6:32:11 GMT 1, Quite nice looking. There is a lack of Shakespeare and βmuch adoβ and this context provided the original humour.
Thanks for heads up. Might get one.

The Connor Brothers π¬π§ Mike Snelle & James Golding, by met on Dec 1, 2017 20:40:01 GMT 1, The thread title led me to believe it was a reference to people who are duped by The Connor Brothers and actually purchase their work.
My assumption was that this would be a condemnation of collectors who fail to educate themselves, leaving them helplessly unarmed and incapable of identifying artistic output which is:
(i) derivative;
(ii) formulaic; and
(iii) soullessly market-driven β i.e. where the starting point to the creation process is questions like,
- "Whose schtick is popular right now?" - "What's trendy and easily copied?" - "What will sell to less-informed buyers who won't realise we're just rehashing the ideas of other people?"
I clicked on this thread to voice my agreement before realising I had misunderstood the title.

Thank you met. Iβve bought one of the mugs so I presume the above includes myself. Whilst weβre examining peopleβs failings have you ever been called pompous?
Edit. Iβve read your previous posts where you advise us of your thought process when posting. That you consider what family and friends would think of your words. Perhaps you might want to add, βwould I say that to someoneβs face?β
Whilst on this forum youβve managed to criticise my framing, criticise my liking of a print and now call me a mug, for buying a mug. Well done you.
You obviously congratulate yourself on your forthright style as you cruise round here mocking membersβ grammar, taste and preferences. To me you are pretentious and boring.

The Connor Brothers π¬π§ Mike Snelle & James Golding, by danstevens on Dec 18, 2017 14:59:12 GMT 1, The Connor brothers are incredibly popular right now - I went to their show at Maddox the other week and the work in the flesh is extremely strong (and the show had completely sold out before I got there!). So a good opportunity here for someone to buy an original piece
Great seller as well - buy with confidence

So a good opportunity here for someone to buy an original piece Great seller as well - buy with confidence I appreciate your support for the OP, however, we need to be careful about incorrectly promoting these guys as artists - new members may interpret your statement as The Connor Brothers are successful artists - when in fact they are not even artists - indeed the polar opposite.
Totally disagree
It is up to members to make their own opinions of art and artists. It is members responsibility to ensure that fraudulent activity is highlighted but this is step too far.

The very definition of fraud in fact.
This discussion should be in another thread ultimately and I wonβt say anymore here.
