Remi Rough 🇬🇧 New Print Release • Exhibition News , by jusdeep on Oct 15, 2011 12:08:53 GMT 1, Same problem here, but the paper will flatten out with time. Just don't rush it and let the paper relax for a few days before popping on some light weights. After a week or so a heavier weight. Definitely not the end of the world and not the worst example of bad packaging I have received. In fact the packaging was fine just the tube diameter a problem. Still doesn't take away the fact that it's a great original edition for a fantastic price. Cheers Remi.

Dummies Guide To Packing A Print, by jusdeep on Oct 8, 2011 19:08:28 GMT 1, To save damage during transit it is always wise to have more length at either end of the tube and have the print rolled and fastened with a smaller diameter than the tube. Then held in place with either bubble wrap or tissue paper at either end. The result of this is the print stays put floating in the tube, any end damage will be cushioned by the extra length of brown paper and padding and any tube damage and subsequent print damage kept to a minimum as it's not touching the outer tube.
A very good guide I wish more people would follow can be found on this link… www.cinemasterpieces.com/packaginghowto.htm

BÄST | New Prints | The Outsiders, by jusdeep on Sept 29, 2011 15:19:15 GMT 1, The black is the nicest in my opinion. The elephant man is cool but I don't particularly like the background images which I find a little random. Theres too much going on complicating the image. Saying that I'm sure It will look a lot better in the flesh as did Niel Blender, which was another one colour very large print.

Stinkfish 🇨🇴 Graffiti Portrait • Columbia Street Art, by jusdeep on Sept 27, 2011 22:00:24 GMT 1, It's an opinion. Get over it. I'd love to know how having an opinion makes me narrow minded. Have you ever stopped to think that maybe the fact that you can't bare to read someone else's opposing view to yours might actually make you appear narrow minded? And did I say I dislike the work? It's nice enough but I try to cast a critical eye over ALL art I see and develop MY OWN point of view rather than just nodding in agreement with everything. Does that offend you? And I have no recollection of ever posting anything about Dr Lakra or Stinkfish on any forum so you must be thinking of someone else.
I know it's an opinion - It's your opinion and you are entitled to it. It was your comments of 'poor mans Dr Lakra', 'his work lacks finess' I didn't like, especially from yourself. It shows a 'narrow minded' opinion. There is plenty of room for more than one artist with a similar style and I find it degrading to a relatively new artist and their work (but of course that's my opinion and interpretation of what you said). I really couldn't care less if someone has opposing views to me. I am very open minded and have a very broad range of tastes which I am more than capable of developing on my own. I make my own decisions in what I like or dislike, so I do take offence to your suggesting that I don't have my own point of view. You don't know me so who are you to judge? Nuff said, I don't want this getting personal, it's all about the work.

Stinkfish 🇨🇴 Graffiti Portrait • Columbia Street Art, by jusdeep on Sept 27, 2011 21:07:26 GMT 1, What's Dr Lakra got to do with Stinkfish's work? Lakra is a tattoo artist, he embellishes found items in a similar way true, but the similarity ends there in my opinion. Lakra's work follows his tattooing background. Calling Stink a poor mans Dr Lakra and saying his work lacks finess is a little narrow minded. Everyone is influenced by someone elses work, nothing is original in the art world. If you don't like the work fair enough but this (I seem to remember) is the second time you've made digs about the Lakra similarity for what end who knows.

is this really the going rate?, by jusdeep on Sept 27, 2011 14:35:04 GMT 1, Close Shave was £5 from Black Rat Press print show around the time Craig said. The previous, Pinned down was a minimum £1 donation to charity the year before that (although a lot of people just took them). Both are a lot smaller than the prints from the books.

Stinkfish 🇨🇴 Graffiti Portrait • Columbia Street Art, by jusdeep on Sept 27, 2011 11:30:00 GMT 1, Surely the same can be said for an artist that has a good sense for colours and how they work together or composition. A collage artist that knows which images to disregard, an artist using a gnarly piece of wood that adds to his painting. A typographer who knows his fonts ect etc.
If you think about this artwork, yes the one backpackpunk bought is really nice. BUT it is the actual album cover that is really nice, thats what makes it work. OK Stinkfish has chosen wisely here! However, the ones that have not sold so quickly, are boring album covers, can you see what I mean! Although his work is nice and clever, they are just nicely painted faces in my opinion! What do you all think? Not surprise so many have sold so quickly, fantastic bunch of artworks there. Stinkfish just seems to get better and better. Backpack Punk: That piece is absolutely amazing!

Stinkfish 🇨🇴 Graffiti Portrait • Columbia Street Art, by jusdeep on Sept 26, 2011 16:50:59 GMT 1, Now...who has any idea on how to Frame a Stinkfish Magazine
Here's how I framed mine…
Used a wide belly band which is attached to some foam board, then the magazine slips into this and holds in place without any use of adhesives and is hidden by the front cover of the mag.

Chris Moon - Solo show - HOME, by jusdeep on Sept 25, 2011 18:54:42 GMT 1, Have to agree, there's something about his work. I also liked his work at InHuman, some great originals. His work may take inspiration from Micallef and Bacon to name a couple but how many people on here can afford their og's from them. I'm looking forward to seeing what he has on show.

WTB banksy LP's, by jusdeep on Sept 21, 2011 16:13:04 GMT 1, Don't think there's any evidence that Banksy did these. All it says is that he is 'responsible for the artwork'. Much like the Blur promos with the petrol Head, think tank records and all
