Retna โข Braddock Tiles, by jusdeep on Feb 2, 2018 13:02:14 GMT 1, As above, nothing to do with varnish! And to say the seller if flipping the print is a little harsh. It was released years ago and the price asked is relatively cheap compared to what I have seen some galleries selling it for. You wouldn't expect people to sell a Banksy for ยฃ50 in todays market - things change

BAST Artwork, VALUATION, by jusdeep on Jan 30, 2018 11:56:43 GMT 1, I'd go with 850-1200. I sold a silver last year and there really wasn't a market over 1k. It's a very cool print but it doesn't Pack the punch that his good work does. Plus. Mickey with a gun? Even though this was probably an interesting idea initially, it's been beaten into the ground IMHO. GLWTS Spot on in my opinion $850-$1200 for a private sale. Having previously owned and sold the plain gold version a couple of years ago, it's a nice print but very basic compared to other heavily finished, rawer prints. This is obviously more desirable because of the spray and hand finishing, but fits somewhere within this range.

Printers ink on rear of print - does this affect the value, by jusdeep on Jan 18, 2018 16:48:59 GMT 1, It makes it much more sought after and much more valuable. Unless it's by Mr Brainwash and has thumb prints on the back

POW CLOSING DOWN - SALE ENDS 31ST DECEMBER 2017, by jusdeep on Jan 12, 2018 13:36:29 GMT 1, Will the site go with a bang or a whimper? I wonder if there's a load of good stuff to suddenly make available... or there really isn't !!?? Unfortunately more likely the latter, mixed with a bitter taste and never-ending disappointment. I haven't seen anything available that I'd wan't so far. Everything currently unavailable or 'sold out', (until they find more down the back of the POW sofa). I can't believe people are buying some of old stock they have. The majority of it didn't sell the first time around for a reason

Advice on rolling prints on thick stock?, by jusdeep on Oct 5, 2017 12:45:20 GMT 1, Either, send it by an alternative postal method - Royal Mail are fussy when it comes to size. Then you'll be able to send the print flat in the original packaging, which is always preferable.
If you are sending flat, make sure the grains of the cardboard you pack it in are facing alternate directions, (horizontal and vertical as this gives a lot more strength).
Orโฆ Roll the print in a large diameter strong tube. If you do: Never roll the print too tight. Always roll it in brown paper at a lesser diameter than the tube. Make sure the print is not touching the sides, (If the tube gets crushed you will have multiple ripple creases through the entire image). Allow extra length, (2 inches or more) at each end of the tube and either cut the brown paper longer or pack out each side with tissue or bubble wrap to hold the print in place. This will hold the print in place and stop it sliding around and possibly getting the ends or sides of the print damaged.
Also, when deciding how to roll the print it is best practise to roll the original way the print was rolled. Remember, 'paper has a memory' and takes time to relax. If you force it the opposite direction you could either damage the paper or damage the ink or printed surface. Also use both hands and roll the print evenly at spaced points along it's edge. And above all, take your time.

Bast โข Visconti Print, by jusdeep on Mar 17, 2017 8:21:47 GMT 1, Not for me this time and really don't see much of a reference to Trump in this, apart from Goofy, slapstick. It is far more likely, (from the print's name) that the 'devils peak' hair is from legendary Italian film director Luchino Visconti, mouth Stan Laurel and face made up to look like Goofy. The usual mash up style with lots of typical NYC, classic film and Disney references - are you ever supposed to get it, is everyone supposed to like it? โฆ NO!

Help in Identifying this print please, by jusdeep on Jan 2, 2017 14:51:06 GMT 1, I remember seeing him in the 'InHuman' group show in 2010 with David Walker, Penny, Joseph Loughborough, Daniel Lumbini and Nick Gentry. His paintings there looked very heavily influenced by Francis Bacon, as does this. Like was said above, he's moved on to a Miami/Cali scene style and although this is probably not best representation of his work he does have a healthy following, he demanded good prices at auction and his shows seem to sell really well.

Dran โข Artist Discussion, by jusdeep on Dec 27, 2016 12:09:12 GMT 1, I heard from a friend that it was only Christmas Eve and everything posted above seems to back that up. Didn't make much sense going all that way to put bids on originals that would probably be ignored anyway. The rest of the offerings were pretty much throwaway souvenirs by the sound of it.

SUBSCRIPTION PLAN 2017, by jusdeep on Dec 25, 2016 8:11:40 GMT 1, This model doesn't work for prints. Seen it several times over the years and it usually ends in disaster for the buyer and they normally end up losing out, or get stuck with a bunch of prints they don't want.

Art on postcard secret auction, Harland miller, hirst, blake, by jusdeep on Nov 17, 2016 23:57:35 GMT 1, It was G, but may have been the flying pig as well.
and no Ferg. Hirst was a late entrant. I think all the artists get put in blocks, (better for bidders) not mixed up. Although I prefer it when they mix them in, especially when they have more than 1 style.
