Authentication Question...., by dodge on Jan 3, 2010 10:53:03 GMT 1, Cheers Dave. The current owner has stated that the prospective owner will have to pay for any pest control authentication but they are willing to have the print sent away for authentication. Do you know how much pest control authentication costs?

Authentication Question...., by dodge on Jan 3, 2010 10:17:40 GMT 1, Morning all,
If someone has bought a print from a forum member and the prints are registered in the original owner's name, is this good? They also have a copy of the original receipt but no Pest control certificate. I would like to buy the print but in the wake of being stung in the recent 'fake Banksy' ebay scam, I am a bit dubious of buying any Banksy at the moment.
Advice much appreciated.

Banksy Applause Unsigned, by dodge on Jan 2, 2010 14:20:52 GMT 1, Another one kicking around for £550. You might have to drop a bit. £600 is still a great price for such a huge print though....

Have You Any Snow?, by dodge on Jan 2, 2010 13:00:44 GMT 1, We had six inches on 20th (in Durham) and it has snowed every day since. I can't remember weather as bad as this since I was a child. I am going stir crazy in the house but can't really go very far (there is a blizzard outside).

RBS Eyes Art Disposals, by dodge on Jan 2, 2010 11:02:44 GMT 1, I don't understand how this works. What is a 'corporate collection' and whose money do the banks use to purchase it? Do they buy art as an investment or just as a flashy way of hanging pieces on office walls? It seems like an awful amount of money to be tied up in a 'luxury', especially in the current financial climate. I wouldn't mind having a dig through their collection!

Wanted - Conor Harrington, by dodge on Jan 1, 2010 19:21:52 GMT 1, A kind board member sold one of these to me for £500. I loved it but (surprise, surprise), the missus didn't warm to it. I sold it to another board member for the same price. You don't see many on the secondary market. Good luck with the hunt though!

Best print of 2009, by dodge on Dec 29, 2009 10:20:51 GMT 1, or this Christ that Harland Miller print looks unbelievably good in that photo. I've been tempted to get one of those and am now very very tempted.
That's fantastic Pezlow. I saw his show at the Baltic in Gateshead but didn't realise there was a print of this piece!
BUY!

BANKSY Extraction Team VIDEO New, by dodge on Dec 26, 2009 21:47:11 GMT 1, Hmmmmmm.... Jet Set, why have you edited / deleted all your posts in the 'Palestine Splashed Donkey has been resurected...' thread. Got something to hide? Maybe a post like this - "Asking price is $500K, including shipping and all destination charges... Interested parties can PM me for sale consideration. I am not the seller, it's a group of Palestinian men with hungry families. I am just friends of theirs." See it all here - urbanartassociation.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=streetartgallery&thread=18893&page=1Yep, I absolutely deleted all those posts, because folks like yourself will take what I said and twist it out of context and make s**t up to damage me, as we've already seen abundantly on this thread. It's like you people NEED a villain or something, my goodness! I stand by everything that you quoted. The Palestinians became my friends through the experience of being there with them. They are beautiful people. They emailed me asking me to buy it. I told them; I'm not interested, but I will tell people that it is for sale. I did that; telling people on this and other art forums that the piece was for sale... I very clearly state, "I am not the seller, it's for a group of Palestinian men..."
What a great guy you are. Did you take a cut of the sale price for 'brokering the deal', as you did with the gold flags?

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by dodge on Dec 21, 2009 14:59:43 GMT 1, I remember being offered an unsigned liita in a skate store in Durham. Got quoted £900. That was around two tears or so ago and I was buying a car at the time. Wish I had postponed the car purchase as I won't get the chance again! This is the greatest Banksy print ever IMO. Beautiful vibrant colours too. My holy Grail!

David Choe at Lazarides, by dodge on Dec 17, 2009 17:19:36 GMT 1, Only 33 of these! I love the colours. Choe is usually hit and miss but I think this is a hit! Contemplating whether or not to pull the trigger!

Banksy • No Ball Games GREY, by dodge on Dec 17, 2009 14:26:37 GMT 1, old prints are way better then then these last few new prints GET BACK TO THE OLD SKOOL BANKSY ;D I wonder if it was EINE's influence in the production of the earlier Banksy pieces that made a difference?
It could well be. Never thought of that. Bring 'em back, back to the old school!

Banksy Because Im Worthless Print, by dodge on Dec 17, 2009 14:08:57 GMT 1, Good afternoon. I was wondering what the going rate for an unsigned worthless rat is these days?
It is one of the few Banksy's that the missus would have on the wall and I am considering taking the plunge!

Banksy • No Ball Games GREY, by dodge on Dec 17, 2009 14:00:14 GMT 1, So how do people rate this new Banksy print compared to all that have been before? would it get in your top 5? top 10?
No way would it get in the top ten I'm afraid. Old school Banksy prints all the way for me. The only recent print of his in terms of humour, composition and how good it looks is trollies. Just my opinion of course!
His new stuff just looks a little too intricate and busy for my liking. I loved LIITA, turf war, golf sale, laugh now etc... as they had a rawness to them. I just don't feel that anymore. In saying that, it's good that Banksy's work is changing a little and I'm sure he will produce something soon that will blow me away! ;D
