Titi Freak ๐ง๐ท Sรฃo Paulo Street Art โข Hamilton Yokota, by dodge on Oct 10, 2007 19:36:32 GMT 1, The new Titifreak is not a patch on 'wires'. I felt a bit let down to be honest.
As for the Rementer, not my cup of tea at all. I think his two POW prints have been cacka poo.

New Shepard Fairey image....Updated Oct. 9th, by dodge on Oct 10, 2007 19:41:16 GMT 1, Shep was my first encounter with "Street Art", and while I haven't really been blown away with his work as of late, he work is very accessable to a just about everyone. The pieces that I have from '01-'03 are worth about as much as an unsugned Banksy that's been set on fire, but I love the images and they're what eventually led me here.
Ditto. The first print I bought in 2005 was a 'High Time' piece by Fairey. I love it. I also recently bought his 'All City Propoganda' soup can. They both look great, even when placed alongside Banksy's stuff.

Antony Micallef, God I Want to be Bad POW print, by dodge on Oct 19, 2007 20:43:19 GMT 1, Im moving back to Devon at the weekend, so I hope its here by then I am hoping to move out of my current property and relocate somewhere in the countryside like those 'young professionals' you see with Phil & Kirsty. I hope to do this in around 12 years time when my Daughter has finished school and I no longer have to stay in dreaded catchment areas. Then my life can shift down a gear and I can go for long walks with the wife in the fresh, unpolluted air. I hope my Micallef is here by then.
False alarm. It is here! I agree with the comments on here, it is HUGE. Now I have to decide how to frame it.

POW Micallef 'God' refund, by dodge on Sept 27, 2007 11:18:07 GMT 1, Ha Ha, thanks Pezlow. My wife had a baby girl a week after I registered. I only just started getting time between nappy changes etc to get some posts made!
Hope POW sort this out pronto and clarify what is happening. It would be a good way for them to earn some much needed brownie points after a few 'bumpy' releases. Honestly, is nothing ever straightforward?

POW Micallef 'God' refund, by dodge on Sept 27, 2007 11:07:32 GMT 1, Uh Oh. Me too. Best contact POW. I have had to pay through the nose for Banksy/Micallef prints on the secondary market after missing out in the past. I was really looking forward to getting one for 'face value' for a change. Never mind....

my new baby..., by dodge on Oct 8, 2007 19:58:12 GMT 1, Ha ha, good idea. Unfortunately my 8 month old daughter has more artistic ability than me and a fear of heights means I won't be going anywhere near a ladder!

my new baby..., by dodge on Oct 8, 2007 19:46:54 GMT 1, This thread makes me very sad. About three months ago Newcastle got hit by invader. I remember catching sight of one for the first time and I got a real buzz from realising what it was. It kind of made me feel like I was the only one who had seen it. Like the one in the thread title, most of them have been 'removed'. I feel this is a great shame as it has effectively robbed people of experiencing the same excitement I felt. Shame.

Lazinc In Newcastle...., by dodge on Nov 30, 2007 21:25:52 GMT 1, Nice job Opus! Some lovely stuff here but at those prices I am afraid I shall be window shopping only.
Wasn't there mention on the Lazinc e-mail about there being prints available at some point? Anybody heard any rumours?

Lazinc In Newcastle...., by dodge on Nov 27, 2007 22:08:22 GMT 1, Christ, I used to drink in Flynn's when I was a student. They used to have a 50p fridge downstairs full of alcopops (remember them?) Was the building formerly Heartbreak Soup? If so, I'm not sure I could go there. I once went on a first date there with a girl who ordered fish and ate the whole thing, including skin, bones and the hard tail bit. I could vomit just thinking about it. aye is the same one mate!!!! did you score that nite?!?!?!? ;D
Ha Ha. No I didn't. Needless to say a second date did not follow.
I don't think it will be Santa's Ghetto, it sounds like another Lazinc offshoot as opposed to POW (if that makes sense seeing as the same guy owns them both!). I would be if the Ghetto was outside of London.
I may pop in on Friday to see if there has been any progress. Here's hoping I walk into an empty gallery full of signed Banksy's, Micallef's et al as far as my beady little eyes can see!

Lazinc In Newcastle...., by dodge on Nov 27, 2007 20:28:04 GMT 1, Does anybody have any further information on the new Lazinc Gallery In Newcastle? They are being typically cagey and avoiding giving anything away. A friend said it was going to be based at 77 the Quayside but she could not get any further details when she went for a peek.
Wonder if we will see any new stuff or just leftovers from the Soho gallery?
So many questions, so few answers
