Nick Walker 1/1 Canvas , by dodge on Jun 3, 2008 20:41:26 GMT 1, The sum total of horseandhound valuable contribution to the forum! PM me with offers. PM me with offers. i could if i wanted to. A collector I know has some dface works that she wants to dispose of, there are a few pieces. They are unique canvas's cards and other extremely low edition works. If your interested send me a pm. Has any one got a NW unique canvas they want to sell me? Has any got a walker canvas they want to sell to me, also looking for a hirst? PM If you have any damien hirst work for sale with certification please pm me with title and price and description? less than 8 hours to go.. less than a day to go... cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V....ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=015 cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V....ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=015 I am going to either going to jet vegas and rent a suite with a swimming pool, which i am going to fill with hookers. Or probally buy another bunch of up and comming artists I like. Mred, I appreciate your honesty, I dont think it is fair that I am being cruxified for crimes against humanity. I feel for you, as nick walker is a brilliant artist, and at the time I bought the canvas for a good price. However, Seths last show for example was brilliant, and there was a lot of affordable works of art avaliable, which were unique. So there is hope for those who feel like they are missing out on buying art. But if all these "haters" love nick walker so much, why have not bought stuff in the past when it was very undervalued, it seems like they are just upset that they have missed the boat financially!! In regards to people saying I should be banned from Seth's gallery and locked up.. Seth runs a bussiness, I have bought further artworks from Seth and will continue to do so as long as he keeps up the cracking shows! That makes great financial sense to ban a buyer who will keep buying "unknowns" which he likes to put up on the wall. Finally, If your that bothered about prices going up, and as your a member of this forum, why are you not directing your anger at Steve Laz in regards to banksy. He bought three of banksy artworks in the past at auction, pushing up prices to this level. Its not like Banksy is complaining really is it, getting hundred of thousands for his artwork. On that point, Nick Walker a decent human being, getting paid for all the years of hardwork in his future exhibitions. Then again, whoever has bought a Banksy print, has benifited from Steve Laz's shady buying techniques as they have made money for doing jack all. All those who own a nick walker print, better hope it my vandal sells as it will reprice your art, making you money doing absolutely jack. Mred, the morning after image is great, ask a friend to colour copy you one, whack it in a frame and you will get all the viewing utility from it, saving you from this prices, allowing you to reward new equally talented artists. Just to make it clear, I bought this before the bonhams show to stick on my wall. By chance the value went up, why cant you just say good luck to that bloke, lucky him. You are all pretty damn sad, if i dont get the price i want i just wont sell it. Its bogus ethics on your behalf, go worry about something that matters, you sad middle aged men, send some time with your kids, or try go get laid, instead of staring at f**king prints all day. If you really gave a s**t about art, then owning it would not matter, printing out a banksy and sticking on the wall should give you the same pleasure. 250223319460 Character Study II Original Work of Art From Nick Walker Part of the morning after series. Jose Parla 🇺🇸 New Paintings • Exhibition News • For Sale, by dodge on Jun 1, 2008 19:23:12 GMT 1, I own this and to be honest wouldn't contemplate selling it for less than £100k. They will only become scarcer as Parla becomes a 21st century heavyweight in the contemporary art world.
That is stunning!

Investment choice, by dodge on May 26, 2008 20:50:32 GMT 1, I'm trying to persuade the wife to speculate with some of my 3 year olds savings, arguing that she's getting sod all interest in the bank and would be better of investing in some art. She agreed on £2k. So I am thinking signed colour trolleys? Any recommendations on a good investment? Please PM as I don't want to assist flippers! I thank You.
Honestly....your little 'un's future brass is not the thing to to be speculating with! Stick her money in high interest long term isa's and such like and watch them grow. They are low risk and highly unlikely to have the arse fall out of them, unlike the current 'street art' scene.
If you really want to take a punt, do it with your own cash!...(or the missus's

There's a fly in my print, by dodge on May 12, 2008 18:59:43 GMT 1, Strange as it sounds, I was doing my regular rounds of frame dusting when I noticed a fly has managed to get between the print and the glass of one of my Adam Neate prints. I cannot understand how the little f**ker got in there. Anyone any ideas?
Keep quiet or everybody will want one! boom boom

UV Protection Glass • Museum Glass, by dodge on May 8, 2008 21:56:08 GMT 1, For me some will see it as over the top, but i like the peace of mind quality glass brings, and also it's appearance. I divide the cost of the glass over the years of enjoyment it will bring,i apply this to prints half the price of you speak of. Maybe i should stop the ocd with glass
I think I have just joined your OCD club. I just got a quote to get my old prints upgraded to new glass! ha ha.

UV Protection Glass • Museum Glass, by dodge on May 8, 2008 20:16:14 GMT 1, I don't know the answer to your puzzle as I'm not over knowledgeable of the pigment quality used in general screen printing inks - or spray paint for that matter. I don't think printing ink of any kind has been produced to last hundreds of years without fading. Good quality oil paints on the other hand should not fade if kept out of direct sunlight. I always recommend that buyers keep my work out of direct sunlight.
Cheers.
Just realised there is a thread on this subject in the framing section

UV Protection Glass • Museum Glass, by dodge on May 8, 2008 19:11:03 GMT 1, I got some prints recently and was wondering whether or not they are worth the extra expense of getting UV glass. They are Evan Hecox/Shepard Fairey prints that only cost around £75 each.
All my Banksy's are UV framed as I don't want to risk them fading but I am getting conflicting advice from different framers. One framer said it is not worth the extra expense unless they are going to be hanging in direct sunlight all day every day (they are not). Another said that even normal light will damage prints unless your curtains are permanently drawn. Someone even said that UV glass doesn't make a massive amount of difference and prints will always fade no matter what!
Most of my cheaper prints (up to value of £250) just have normal glass in them and I don't fancy the cost of getting them replaced.....
Anbody got any wise words?
