Invader gallery prices , by wave on May 4, 2017 23:42:19 GMT 1, I don't think he needs to considering the price his originals command these days. Valid point. He's a great artist and better than the early prints in my humble opinion..
For me. Talent shines through. IMO his early work is equally interesting, but just constantly evolving.
Bringing it back to invader, Micallef print prices also went mental and it all seemed to go wrong when he released GIWTBB. Perhaps because it was a very big edition and flooded the market or maybe for other reasons. Maybe the bubble just burst, who knows?

I came close but glad i waited a few years and picked up one for ยฃ250. What goes around.... If it slumps , so be it . I'm not bothered as I bought at release prices and never bought at high prices . I know invader won't do a nick walker
Dangerous to think you know. Tell that to the people that splashed out 5k plus on a TMA London a few years back. (Although still an amazing piece). Point is, just be careful. I'm a total art addict to be fair but if i could give my future me any advice a few years back, it would be don't sell your rats for ยฃ600 each, in fact don't sell anything if you can help it. Buy what you like for your walls only and don't pay silly prices.

Anyone else getting bored by urban art?, by wave on May 11, 2016 8:40:23 GMT 1, I think urban art is suffering now as there are so many tired old images that keep getting re-hashed as artists' fail to establish their own 'ownable' unique style (or tag) or original ideas. Some of the gallerys continually push tired images because 'they will sell'. There are those artists however who still continue to re-invent and amaze and continually carve out their own identity within the scene. Not afraid to make mistakes...i.e Insect, Bugs etc
Please not another one of these:
1. Marilyns
2. Splashing in paint
3. Umbrellas
4. Storm troopers.
5. Banksy pastiche.
(Any of the above combined)

But it does indirectly benefit the artist by helping to create a demand for their work. Only a few years ago you could easily pick up Dolk, Eelus at cost until the hype-sters decided for example a lenticular was worth more than It actually is.
