I'm intrigued to understand the merit and message of a piece that shows a punk pushing a 50's pram passed the sprayed message 'punks not dead', actually means on any level whatsoever.

Surely it means punks have babies, and indoctrinate them into a life of meaningful anarchy and the punk ethos.. hence it's not dead.

My understanding of it is, something like having a new born baby softens you as a person. This guy pushing the pram is obviously "punk" no matter what. Hence the saying, "Punk is not Dead."
Its just all about two contrasting images i suppose. I think its quite amusing. I wont be buying it, but i like it. Seems like a good value piece for M.W fans.

Yes I get the title punks not dead look babies are being made, the point I was making in an obtuse way was how facile a piece this is, tired imagery, poorly thought out, using a joke that's been told before.
Martin is skilled enough to make something so much better than this and yet falls back on weak stereotypical urban bench mark art images.
(I've already given this work more than enough of my time)

Pushes no boundaries and its a very banksy-esq style which im sure will hit the right spot for many. I still prefer Chinock Heart piece over most of his work anyways.

erm, if you read your original posts again you were slamming it because you didn't understand its meaning. now someones explained it to you, you think its tired and obvious... maybe you should pause for 5 and think before rushing to hate on something..?

Neither punk or hip hop - just like the people that buy into it imo. As for the image - I don't see anything interesting in it at all. Great stencil skills but little imagination.

Pretty much this!
Very adept with the scapel and spraycan now and the copying other artists is getting very tired and predictable(granted every now and then something original appears)
Still what do I know, things sell out and that IS the bottom line for the majority. Don't even get me started on changing edition sizes and mediums. If something is popular then it often appears on wood/metal/glass at a later date
Still respect the skills and wiil be first in line to buy something original
Neg away for valid points (imo)
