PEOPLE WHO FLIP, by shogun on Dec 13, 2007 15:21:02 GMT 1, I have no problem AT ALL with Flippers, I see it as no more than a legit business venture. In my mind it is no different from people who buy and sell any in-demand commodity at a profit. Whether that commodity be diamonds, clothings, electronics, cars or whatever. The real villians in this whole scene are POW and specifically Laz, they have a complete monopoly on the market and control and hype it to a frightening extent. The sad fact of the matter is that most of you are all so blinkered you really don't have a clue. This is what Laz wants you to be like. Little lap-dogs who worship his every move and release. Time for some of you to waken up... PS Neg away, I treat it as an honour and I loathe the full Fan-Boy scene.
I wouldnt say they have a monopoly on the market - Not quite sure how POW have become villains for selling street art.
So your saying
POW = Bad LAZ = Bad Flipper = Good
Each to their own opinion - I wouldnt call POW the bad guys...
Nor do I have respect for a flipper...
BTW JBOY what have you done thats pissed people off? Trying to read between the lines but cant really get a story line out of it

How the f**k you got to that conclusion I really don't know. Yeah they listen to too much Bob Marley and take ages to send s**t out and sometimes they don't use tubes strong enough for the demented post office but calling them villians is just a bit daft. I don't remember POW selling their soul to the devil? They are the founding printing fathers of the urban art world god bless their dodgy patterned cotton socks.
If you think they're villains and you still buy from them what does that make you? A hypocrite?

This is why I don't understand why they've just bought a print off POW and didn't go directly to the secondary market.

Why don't you read my post, it quotes Lord Lucas Roham, whom I've refered to as they as I don't know if it's a man or woman.

Nice way of putting it. Only thing is the whole "keeping art away from genuine fans" point, but from what I've seen the genuine fans end up getting whatever it is for a good price anyway (through trading and/or generosity of others)

Aye you may have a point. Think someone said that the market is quite saturated at the moment with the amount of prints being released therefore driving down the secondary print market along with xmas coming along it's took its toll. The thing that annoys me is that you now have the uncertainty of buying the print you want now with a mark up or waiting to see what the future holds i.e. price going up or down.

Carlito Friend, you are not going to bate me into some immature kiddies argument.
I'm not putting out posts in cryptic coding, I'm merely highlighting the TRUTH, with facts, based on my dealings with certain people in this forum and their hypocritical covert actions, when it comes to what they do with their supposed beloved artwork and then hound others who operate almost identically to themselves.
You spend a lot more of your life in this forum, than me and most others, I see what is going on in here and so do many others ( I will say again everyone's business, is their business bottom line), but I do believe their is a "HIGH AND MIGHTY" hypocritical stance taken by some forum members in this forum and from the PMs I've been receiving from other forum members in here, my suspicions are not in the minority.
Hope that helps you out Carlito and when I say prominent forum members, take note that the most prominent member in this forum, is in agreement with me, because I believed he understands my point of view and I know for sure that he has the up most integrity in how he operates in this forum.

Hopefully you're right.
I've been waiting for that Vaucher since POW sent an email out saying it would be released in November. Had even bounced a couple of emails off them asking what had happened to it as the release never occured. Looking on POW though other Gee Vaucher prints weren't sold out though so although I thought it may suffer from the Santa's Ghetto effect I thought I'd be safe. Just popped out for an hour to grab some lunch and come back to find it released and sold out. :-(
Totally agree on the Beautiful Losers, I picked up an Ed Templeton for ยฃ70 off the bay. Admittedly I didn't particularly want it and didn't expect to win but I guess it was a bargain anyway.
And hello too, I normally post on the Faile forum but thought I'd pop in here and see if anyone was talking about the Vaucher print, which you were.
Adios Joshua

PEOPLE WHO FLIP, by angryboy on Dec 13, 2007 17:28:19 GMT 1, I think you could be right. I've not been surprised to see Faile, Bast and Aiko sell out instantly but I expected this print to stay around like the Blu and Eric the Dog have, he's not really got the brand like the others. I do really rate the image but for the most part it's a name that sells someone out instantly not the image.
Fingers crossed.

Does mean I now don't want my Hush Love/Hate though. If anyone wants it at cost (think you can still get them on Opus anyway) drop me a PM.
No need to wait for them to collapse on ebay, just got one as a few more popped up on santa's ghetto.

PEOPLE WHO FLIP, by Yessir on Dec 13, 2007 19:00:32 GMT 1, just to clarify..as ppl take turns negging lol...I'm not the person yessir is refferring to ..I was just questioning his view that there's some inner sanctum of forumites who have one rule for themselves and one for others...i'll say it again in my experience the long term big posters on here, are all stand up guys and this is just strange view to take IMHO
Carlito sorry if I've perplexed you with my vociferous posts, but today I'm calling a Spade a Spade on this issue.
EVERYTHING I post is based on cold hard facts, its all there for you to see my friend, the majority of forum members see it, they know whats going on behind the scenes, its not a mystery, I'm not going to spoon feed you anyone's private business, but if you are really keen to get to the bottom of this, do a little research (use the Ebay trade section as a starting point) and see what you find.
