Hi,

Does anyone have a "Love is in the Air" print that they would be prepared to sell?

I'd be reluctant to swap a Faile and pay any extra cash or I'd be happy to pay cash outright.

It's my favourite print and I've just been reminded of that fact!

V nice and super greedy having two Pulp Fictions

Westley, would use the prices for the long pulp fictions as a guide, as they are the same type of nevelty. Both about the same time, and rare as rocking horse shit, as the gold LIITA was never released even as a limited run through LAz ( as far as I know), you would have to be looking +/- 8K. Personally dont condone the trade in this type of thing, but reality exists and so does your print. You may well get more through a gallery sale, but it would be tricky to sort.

I don't think that high - aren't these not considered 'official' releases? They are back-door prints (albeit cool ones) but Laz will not ever authenticate them.

Fully agree artlover, backdoor print and rare as hell, westley has had it for a long time and its as legit as these backdoor prints can be without a full on authentication, with the laz nod it'd be 40K

I still somewhat disagree. I don't think these are more valuable than the regular edition. I think those go for 1.8-2K.

I would put this more at 1-1.5K. Great looking print - but will be difficult to sell on as an 'official' print as the years pass.

I also know someone with a gold LITA and the stretched Pulp, no names , he wont sell his .As, more than likely not signed either Id say £1500+ (Thats what I offered and he said no.
Honestly though Id ebay it as they are very rare.

no way buster. laz had some stretced pulp fictions recently, signed as a/p's and i think they were well under £20k. not sure exactly how many, perhaps around ten.
although the gold LIITA is different and somewhat unique, it seems to me to be a creation of the printer more than of banksy afterall, he has never, NEVER put his name to it.

other versions of the old backdoors he has but the not this. ebay it to be fair but as a rough guide i'd say £1k-£1.5K. in the long run it will only ever interest a fan, not a 'collector' - no prov, no edition, no certification, no acknowledgement it was ever anything banksy wanted to produce.

for £8k i'd buy a signed red LIITA, looks tha bomb and is kosher as fuck.

Fair enough, and agree about the red signed. There may be more to this print than meets the eye though. If I had one, It'd stay well set aside, I dont so its all subjective.

the way i believe it happened was that the it was never a comissioned or sanctioned print. quite who experemented with that colour and the image remains a mystery and will be subject to conjecture until a catergoric statement from banksy or laz.

being honest though i'd heard the same excuse for the stretch pulp's until mr lazarides sold a load with a signature attatched to them..............................

as it stands though, if this did turn out to be some kind of a/p it is still knock off, there fore can never be regarded in the same catergory as any editioned print.
anyone buying one will have to hand over the money and assume they will never get it back, anything they do will then be a bonus.

plus, how the f*ck do you insure something that doesn't exist?!!!

of course B, it is subjective but surely that is the point of the thread?

i know what you mean, sit tight and it could turn out to be a gem. i think it goes back to the mantra of buying what you like, not only do i prefer the red by a mile, it happens to have a number on it and therefore has a legitimate history.
