Interested then why you would post a link for the sale in previous post?? These two were discussed on here many months ago and the selfie one in particular was shown to be a rip off of an earlier image. The JBoy work appears to be 'marmite' on here.

Art is subjective and ok if you don't like it or you feel he has in someway ripped off the 'godlike' Banksy signature then fine but to express it in the way you did is wrong.

I actually like the print and I not agree that the signature has connotations of Banksy....

To me this is a classic print, good colours and yes I am one of the people who purchased an A/P because .... well I liked it!

Sometimes people put comments on this forum that make me smile, sometimes they make me think and sometimes they make me want to stop posting. However that would mean people like the above win and I've never been a quitter.... so no I don't agree at all with the comments above.

Good luck JBoy - I see that the whole edition as sold out so clearly there are more people than I that think this is a good piece of art!

Is it just me that thinks the signature resemblance is aimed predominately at newbie art collectors to send the message of a banksy vibe without any connection to the artist, with the full intention of trying to cash in from a copycat signature style.

Just comparing prints that use the banksy reference.

it is obvious that neither are banksy and never will be, but one looks to use a similar signature and one totally rips off an existing Banksy illustration and then sells it for £250. Not sure who is the winner here - at least there is a bit of creativity in the mime. The other is a very forum centric print which die out quite quickly, hence him doing a wiz version. If you showed that to anyone outside the forum they would have zero idea what it was about, lets be honest.

i like the gonefellow print and the ones above and i am using them as examples of what seems to be grinding peoples gears with styles. How can people even have the conversation about one possibly being a banksy? It is crazy.

Both are artists who take the piss, i think that is fairly obvious and not to be taken overly seriously. None of the work is exactly going to ruffle feathers at museums, so just enjoy them for that they are on the wall.

Anyway, regardless of the above opinions there are two new A/P's available now for the Selfie prints in pink paper and white.

I have just ordered one of both and if they are of the quality of the 'mime' A/P that I received then I will be a very happy chappie!
