Guy Denning - not much sold from his show - yet, by manchestermike on Feb 13, 2008 16:25:25 GMT 1, What the hell was all that about!
Jesus... Sorry rhodesy2112 but there was no need to go off like that, marble march was only expressing a view. You can't deny that Guy's work has whiffs of all parts of the "manic depressive, morbid, camp and faintly homoerotic artwork" comment... this doesn't mean that it's bad though.
I like some of Guy's work, not all, and I own one piece, which I happen to think is one of his strongest (that I have seen) and I have no problem with his work being called "manic depressive, morbid, camp and faintly homoerotic artwork"... whether Guy does or not, but like Carlito said you could describe Morrissey the same way...
You should have just let it drop dude... the "insults" (if it is an insult, I don't know) like "giclee boy" make you look stupid... if people want to comment and you want to say something back, make it constructive, pointless insults (was it an insult?) are, well... pointless really

Well ManchesterMike, I was just expressing my opinion. I didn't agree with what he was saying, but more importantly how he was saying it. Maybe if I was a fan of arrogant, prejudiced and faintly homophobic posts, then great...but I'm not

what I'm saying is there is a difference giving your opinion and getting abusive... I fail to see where the prejudice and homophobia are in his post though

Guy Denning - not much sold from his show - yet, by BME on Feb 16, 2008 3:38:19 GMT 1, I like Denning but agree that for the money there are other things that I'd rather go for. If I had 4k to spend on an original I'd take a Lister or an Eine any day. Or, if the money had to be spent on prints I'd load up with a few dface Hates and an unigned Jack and Jill - sweet
