Everything was agreed- he kept delaying.
Weeks and weeks passed- asked for his address, name etc as we were going 2 do straight swap- He kept changing the subject.
Now given up hope!!!!!

the thing i've learnt on this forum is a deal's not done until you exchange cash or prints. People often pull out or try and get a better deal right until the end.

Unless you can arrange to meet up in person or pay via Paypal it is not worth the risk of trading with forum members as it is far too risky. At least ebay makes some attempts to protect both parties no matter how inadequate it is; this forum has nothing. Well apart from the lynch mob!

On the whole your right, but I have trusted some of the more established forum members in the past without a problem (they lived too far away for an easy swap, which of course would be a better and safer bet, plus you get a cup of tea). On the subject of tea I recommend trading with balboa as he makes a very nice cuppa!

i think in general you know which people you can trust on here.
i was also looking to trade with Haisurf and didnt quite work it out. i wasnt concerned as such, but things were taking a little longer than i would have liked.
it seems that no one has lost out, so maybe he/she is just a habitual ditherer??.

lets hope the damage(if any) isnt too bad. its shit when this sort of thing happens.
this can be a difficult place to sort out deals. but i have also done loads of really good deals with people on here and would generally try here first before ebay. referances are very important, if you have any doubts at all.

You have his address, silky can get you his ISP no. (or if data protection prohibits that he can give it to the proper authorities) and I am sure others may have other personal details for him. I suggest you go the the Police station and report his crime.

you must no his addy if you sent the print to him, get in your car and put his postcode in a sat nav and sort it out if your that worried or ring the old bill!!! if it don't turn up you prob haven't got a pot to piss in but they might look into it... i would try the 1st thing take a big bat too

Similar things happened to me, really long emails, not always very clear.
Sent photos that were impossible to see numbers on etc.
Swap deal was sorted, not heard anything for ages either
And not sent anything.

Girl with baloon, that is just (in my opinion, THE banksy print) and is like havign a mutual fund on the wall...better than having 3500 GBP sitting there in cash.
