The amount of vitriol on this forum is really concerning.
I can appreciate people having strong opinions on flipping (I did say it was shameless) but, as far as I am aware, Heni have not imposed any prohibition on the resale of this edition.

Had you actually flipped something lots of people wanted then I’m sure others would have really let you know about it (but you should certainly not be surprised).

Incredible the courage that some people have, if HENI were a serious company it would have to take it away and give it to someone else.

I prefer all my life Avant Arte that at least with the Condos seems to have made much more serious choices.

I’m sure that Heni have good intentions with who they allocate these to and try to reward loyalty (and great to hear some members were happy).

Unfortunately, what they are not aware of is that some people they keep selling to have probably sold everything they originally bought so now just feeding the flippers.

The only way to stop the cycle is stop buying from the flippers so they are stuck.

There are two types of people on this board, those who flip shamelessly and give zero fucks and those who pretend to be outraged at flipping but flip more than anyone else. No exaggerating I've dealt with about 200-300 people on this forum, not one of them won't flip if the opportunity arises. Personally I think this is a release to be a little patient on if you're in it for the money, definitely one of his better prints.

I know we have been over this many times in the past but what you say is simply not true.  I have been collecting art seriously for well over ten years and I can promise you I have never flipped any artwork in my entire life.  

But I agree with your other point.  Anyone flipping at this precise moment is an idiot.

Don't despair quite yet, I have it on good authority these haven't all be allocated and some people who were picked aren't proceeding. They'll probably do another round of emails (albeit smaller) in a week or so. They'll send out a sorry you didn't win email once everyone had been allocated. They're still going through allocations on the Blossoms 6 months on so no way will these be finalised in a few days.

+ Vivid dynamic image. 1/1 no matter how similar.
+ More impactful scale with much better aspect ratio.
+ Immediately recognizable from iconic DH canon.
+ Bolder signature on front.

- Lower quality paper but that's trivial and pedantic. Invisible once framed.

The Original Virtues I sorely regret not getting. That is the way to showcase this series.

These new panoramic sakura prints should go up in value though I'd bet.

Well you're the exception, flipping is only discouraged in the art world because it cuts across the interests of galleries who want to control their markets. They've basically crated a culture of fear amongst collectors (of being black listed) and propagated a myth that collectors reselling art are in someway exploiting others. The reality is far different; when it comes to contemporary art, the illusion of scarcity for mass produced works is paramount to keep the pyramid from collapsing, so essentially galleries and a select few artists can get very rich. When you're selling something that has no intrinsic value or utility and isn't particularly rare, it requires an excessive control of the market and in far too many cases bad business practises. The way I see it is that if collectors want to beat them at their own game and take some of that money then good for them. Fairs fair.
