I understand there are some who have reasons to push his work but objectively is this a good time to buy or a good time to offload?

If he's found guilty, then I still think he has an amazing and unique style, but what happens to his market is anyone's guess.
(For transparency, I only have 1 or 2 cheap prints tucked in a portfolio)

"Police allegedly seized four replica pistols, illicit drugs, electronics and a knuckleduster. Lister has been charged with rape, firearm possession, drug possession and causing grievous bodily harm with intent, among other offences.'
Not the kind of artist I'd support; if guilty.
If I had any of his work, which I don't, I'd be selling it now

Lister's rape trial started this week, by concernedozzie on Sept 29, 2023 15:37:56 GMT 1, Some can separate the art from an artist with toxic or criminal behavior but I personally wouldn't enjoy looking at something painted by a rapist, or making money off it tbh.
He is obviously a gifted artist but it will soon be decided if that talent would have been better gifted to someone who didn't use it to abuse others.
From his alleged victims, to his divorce and estranged kids, to his betrayed friends and collectors, nobody comes out well from self-destructive behaviour.

Based on the first post only I wondered if the 'concerned' in your username meant you were concerned about your investments, or concerned for the victims; so this sentence makes me happy.

What happened with this? I can't find any info online. Neither could I. Presumably the trial has taken place, and the presiding judge has reserved a decision. Once decided, media can report on it. |
