Don’t forget the HENI market place has created a stupidly easy way to list these for sale, even if people aren’t fussed about really selling.
This will change once that ends in 3 years… Then sales may return to a similar volume as Virtues.

i don't think they'll go any lower... the NFT market is in a weird place right now, not much is going well now, but be back over cost in a few weeks.
fortunately i sold mine at 1.7 so can buy back in!!

From what i have seen on the discord chat many holders are nft speculators who did not really know Hirst before, discovered it with the currency, that they missed, and then bought Empress to finally got an exposure.

They saw it pump and drop like the other cute animal profile pic like nft release with no intrinsic value and now treat it as an nft who lost his momentum (even saw someone asking if Hirst could do something like an exhibition maybe to pump the value, seems they are worried about Hirst career). They accept to sell at a loss to jump on another project or maybe sell out their eth as price is tanking.

Compared with similar sized signed works by Hirst then 2500 usd for it IS cheap.

I bought 3 and sold 2 immediately when I saw the final edition.

16k means there are a lot out there and if you compare the price from other edition it is completely illogical to hold those print as investment.

Didn't the virtues hit around 8k pieces? That's still an incredible amount. Which by your reckoning would also make them worthless as an investment? I don't think it's purely the quantity that's tanked the value. It's the fact half of them were sold as NFT tokens to people who didn't understand what they were buying.

About 3 times more than virtues per print (if everybody redeem but will be around 95%) if we get to a third of the price of virtues we would be about 5000 usd each as a floor price, then it s not proportionnaly less but would not sell for less than 4000 usd it think, let see ^^ I sold at 2 eth and bought a few under 3000 usd since

This is clearly nonsense, all those that bought Virtues, The currency, (Free GE) Have all done very well thank you. The Empresses have been going only a short time and those that were smart enough sold early and are now probably sitting with 1 or more for free and over time they will do ok. It seems you just have a negative slant.

Collectors taking this approach are doing artists a big favour, but the reality is that I like most people am not just a patron but also an investor. Some collectors on here who lack self knowledge may have a problem with that but I couldn't care less.

interesting. I thought these weren’t going out until May. Personally I like a bit of glitter on my Hirst 😉 - each to their own. Art (imo) is about buying what you like first and foremost - I’ve always liked the butterfly wing images, so won’t have any issues personally when mine arrives. If anyone purchased this as a quick flip (and didn’t like it) I’ve little sympathy…….
