Damien Hirst H10 • The Empresses, by kfroms on Feb 28, 2022 18:43:10 GMT 1, If I knew how to buy NFTs and it was a simple process, I would get one for 2.5K. But I don't so I wont. I just hope the actual prints will appear on e-bay for 2.5K at a later date.
Ask one of the mods on the discord. Buying on Heni Marketplace is super easy and the NFT business straightforward ( as long as you do not move / bridge it and only wait for the exchange window to open )

Damien Hirst H10 • The Empresses, by vernaxley on Mar 3, 2022 11:27:32 GMT 1, This means nothing. Anyone who buys and sells art understands that the early flips make the money. Let's see where this is in 12 months time when the flippers have driven the market into the ground. That is complete garbage, I've bought stacks of pieces off flippers straight after release that I missed out on and done much better long term than the guy making a quick turn. Art is long term game generally and people who focus too much on the whims of the market as opposed to the prospects and future legacy of an artist deserve their medicore returns.
You: " people who focus too much on the whims of the market as opposed to the prospects and future legacy of an artist deserve their mediocre returns."
Also you: "I've...done much better long term than the guy making a quick turn."
Not seeing any mention of your concern for the artist or their future legacy.

I'm pretty sure. All we're seeing is a flooded market place... which in hindsight was bound to happen.
And I don't think will effect at all on other prints. People who want spots will still want the spots.

He's severely limited the secondary market for this release because of the sheer size of these editions.
That's not his concern or responsibility. As an artist he owes the buyers nothing.
The smaller run, non-nft print editions will hold value better. It will be interesting to see what all this does for his originals.

Hirsts market is international and is huge in many countries especially the USA I think some people been caught out on the quick flip NFTs but those who bought to keep will do well in time. Most people haven’t even seen them yet. They looked great in Heni

Collectors taking this approach are doing artists a big favour, but the reality is that I like most people am not just a patron but also an investor. Some collectors on here who lack self knowledge may have a problem with that but I couldn't care less.

In addition to the VAT there’s a few transactions that you’ll need to do and each transaction has its cost, commission and currency fluctuation.
If you scroll back only a few pages it was answered far more succinctly than my offering.

I’m sure I will regret it in the coming months when everyone is scrambling for liquidity because a can of beans costs £200 and you’ll have to remortgage your house for a tank of petrol
… not that I’m a glass half empty kinda guy
