Phillips Art Auctions • New York, Hong Kong & London, by yorkie on Jun 7, 2017 17:24:45 GMT 1, Personally I don't think 18,750 is a bargain for it .... I think 15k for the seller is a little low but the buyer paid above previous sale prices.... looks a fair price to me.
The STIK plates did do well!

Phillips Art Auctions • New York, Hong Kong & London, by lobster on Jun 7, 2017 17:48:43 GMT 1, Whoever sold the Hirst Psalm print for £17K + had an absolute " touch " but fair play to the guy who managed to buy the whole " Liberty " portfolio for £2500 + fees LESS than the single HM print a few lots later !!!
I know its been discussed on here many many times but I just do not understand why anyone would want to put their Banksy prints in auction - after they paid 10% MINIMUM back to Phillips they would have been left with £13,500 and have to wait a month for their money ???
No doubt they would have got more on here or I am sure other routes such as Castle Gallery , Andy at CAT or Joseph gallery would have got the seller more money ???

Yes they were £6k. In fact I was offered one for £5k (maybe less?) as they had a buyer pull out who had one of the cheaper sets. I assumed that included vat but I don't know for certain.

Umm I believe 3-4, 4-6cm creases along top and bottom. Also, it's framed who knows how and by who... always a mystery. Obviously can probably get repaired but I wouldn't pay a premium for that condition...and who knows what else they missed.

Phillips Art Auctions • New York, Hong Kong & London, by Black Apple Art on Jun 7, 2017 23:09:00 GMT 1, The GR had some serious condition issues though, so...I wouldn't pay that for the condition. Backed off. Just out of interest, what sort of serious condition issues did the GR print have? I'd call them at the worst minor and all easily fixed if desired. Market now seems to be between $24-$30k so it seems to have gone where it should. Important they inspected the mounting and was done properly as that is a very common land mine.
"A horizontal crease at the left and right corner of sheet, measuring approximately 6 cm and 3 cm respectively, the lower right corner with a very slight nick at the lower edge of sheet. A very soft diagonal crease across the upper right corner of sheet, measuring approximately 4 cm. Very slight undulation throughout sheet. In our opinion this work is in very good condition. F. the sheet hinged to the float-mount with Mulberry tissue at intervals along all four edges of sheet. Framed in a black painted wooden frame under UV acrylic. All assessments exclude the condition of the frame(s).

Phillips Art Auctions • New York, Hong Kong & London, by dbnetherleigh on Jun 7, 2017 23:32:59 GMT 1, I actually inspected this print out of the frame and can confirm the damage was minimal - a couple of minor creases that could be easily treated. As noted it was float mounted using tabs - it was hard to see exactly how damaging these would be but they did look significant. Note this was an untrimmed version of GR so it was blind stamped outside the black surround on the right hand side - maybe not just as desirable as the trimmed version which have the blind stamp/number within the surround bottom left. Still think the realised price was reasonable considering all the above....

raphyki55 I disagree with you. IMO Gokita works were hugely inflated by the collection provenance.. You can find at source Gokita's works for way lesssss money...at least before this auction
