JR first NFT now available, by Modern Rembrandt on Oct 21, 2021 18:22:47 GMT 1, Ok, so what’s the general consensus.
At $250 it’s almost a no-brainer to apply. But let’s discuss what we’re all wondering, will this hit over 1k, 5k, 10k?
I’m definitely applying either way, love JR.

My brain is telling me this, but my gut is saying anything is possible when it comes to NFTs.
People doubted so many different projects that are now blowing up, and there are a ton of new brand ones that are hitting 5-20k fast.
Who knows

JR first NFT now available, by dp on Oct 22, 2021 15:47:22 GMT 1, Request for help!
I have made a bid for this and have opened a metamask wallet, but do not pretend to understand a single other thing, it's like I need a degree in quantum physics or something. I have a couple of basic questions:
- if I get selected, is that when I pay? will they send me instructions on how to do so? amI right in thinking i can use a normal debit card?
- if I want to sell it on, is that easy enough?
- is there a very basic guide to the NFT process means somewhere?
Request for help!

If you keep it all in Heni, then it should be relatively easy to manage. Setting up Metamask is the trickiest bit, then it's just the case of connecting it if you get selected

JR first NFT now available, by thisisthesam on Oct 22, 2021 16:17:38 GMT 1, If you want to sell, I assume it's through HENI's marketplace which would be easier however if you were to sell elsewhere, I believe you have to pay DAI to bridge the NFT to another marketplace? Is that correct? Please correct me as I haven't a clue myself.
I assume marketplaces like Opensea, have more potential buyers? Hence why people move to it rather than through HENI?

Buyers know where to look, so personally I would avoid the stress and hassle and just keep on Heni.

Do HENI take any fees once sold and do you have to transfer crypto to GDP to withdraw funds?

Selling through heni certainly seems easier but like with the currency open sea seemed to get slightly better results. Personally I’ve applied for one and then might use it to try and sell on ( love JR but not to the same level as hirst). Then if that all works well at least I will know the process and then will decide whether to keep the hard copy of the currency or keep the NFT. If I somehow manage to mess it all up as a transaction it’s a couple of hundred quid not a few thousand. What I have realised is that it’s best doing all the transactions from a desktop rather than your phone ( which sounds weird in this day and age).
All the best

From what I’ve heard the issue is with buyers not wanting to convert their Bitcoin to buy on Palm, so prefer to pay more but stay on Opensea. (I could be wrong)

Yes. But it’s more complicated than that. It’s more aligned with the whole concept of collecting and subcultures in general whether it’s gold football cards, baseball cards, DC, marvel, art etc but without the bs of no wall space, wife doesn’t like it etc. Maybe a litte bit more transparent than physical art collecting in that respect. I myself look at art collecting separate but in the nft space yes….it is very money orientated. It is still very interesting though getting behind a new artist or project and meeting the community that support it.

Just my 2 cents,
I expect to be hung drawn and quartered..
I can see why artists use this space for the resales percentage, but I genuinely can't see any value in a single NFT.
It's not about the art, it's about the money in resales..
Why buy a digital image that you can have for free is beyond me..
Il head back to my cave now.. 👍

I couldn't get my head around the NFT thing when it comes to "full" works of art - but in this case, what you buy is really a digital token of a fraction of an artwork (ca. 1/5000)?! And then that real/ physical artwork really only works as a whole ...
I find it interesting, but I just don't get it.

Confused by this comment. You are in a thread about NFT which are all about investment? If you love art for the walls (which i do). Then treat this differently. It is different?

JR first NFT now available, by handy on Oct 24, 2021 6:38:14 GMT 1, A few reasons why people go for NFTs. Resales obv a big part of it.
+++ Investment + Community + Owning something limited or unique from an artist you like + Herd mentality + Evolvable - itself or as part of a project + Easy to trade and switch project + Digital avatars + Rights to use the art e.g. t shirts or marketing campain etc + Owners can win physical prizes (boonji project gave 5 million USD of art, or something like that)
So its not just jpegs. And its not about hanging art either
