I guess I’m just hoping for more - I love seeing the pictures but I want something really clever to pull them together. If it turns out to just be a number of street pieces to support a city of culture application. (or whatever it is) it will be a bit disappointing in my opinion. Can’t imagine they’re being solely done to support a city of culture application, don’t think all the hard work would go in solely for something like that, seems counter intuitive. Again, I could be wrong. I like the fact that some of these areas are old seaside towns, like Weston Super Mare, that were different in their heyday and that they are a bit of the beaten track. Looking forward to seeing what more unfolds…..

Expect a satirical video of the great British holiday…
The more I think about this, I’m convinced there’s some sort of satirical video coming. Banksy and the British staycation.
✅ Renting boats
✅ Cocktails on the beach
✅ Eating fish and chips
✅ Dancing in hotels
✅ Building sandcastles
✅ Arcades
Crabbing and the one I seemingly missed whilst I was there… miniature village!

All the other stuff posted here, I would be surprised to see it being Banksy work. Looks like a group of folks went out overnight and had some fun with spray paint and stencils. My 6 and 10 year old just said to me 'that seagull isn't a Banksy dad'. I think it is. Granted at first, it isn't as political as the rest maybe?, but he did the seagull sculpture in Dismaland. Maybe he just fucking hates them  ... we'll see

In terms of the number of different pieces in a short space of time, and in different areas, it’s the most active he’s been for a good few years. Nothing ‘downlow’ about the spraycation!

Some staff were told to stay away as it was dropped off, so it will have been made in a studio with his people simply putting it into place. To look at its very dismaland.

I’ve spoke to the owner of the model village. He said 3 guys aged between 30-35 came in with a case, one distracted the gardeners , one set up a drone, whilst one placed the instillation. He had CCTV but zero evidence of who it is. Funny thing is when you enter they ask for a photo of you in front of a green screen. You leave Ame
The gift shop ask if you want s keyring/photo etc of you super imposed into the model village , offcourse since the installation they have put the Banksy into this. He’s not sure still but has bbc coming
This evening to film and interveiw.
