None of the five Grayson works have a single bid in the Christie’s sale which finishes shortly.
Maybe Grayson needs their help or maybe AA have misjudged his market. Time will tell.

It’s going to have to be at a very attractive price point for me, this one. 
I have his Kateboard and the planter from the Midlands Arts Centre exhibition, absolutely love both of those. But this… I feel I’d have to live in Hampton Court to make it work.

How many of these do we think they'll sell in the timed release. Just trying to work out whether the price point will deter a lot of potential buyers and thus could be a small-ish edition and thus (sort of) worth the 1,000 euros....

The absolute shocker of a let down this one has been. Even if they only sold 2 prints I would find it hard to justify the cost

Fair enough AA are a business and have to make money but their approach is a false economy.

It all depends on the terms, sometimes a publisher will just buy out the rights for an image and have quite alot of flexibility on how they sell/market. In this case I'd say it would have been part of the negotiations and agreed in advance. I personally think it's a mistake for the artist to do an open edition in this market.

I find it surprising, but not surprising for this forum, that the expectations were a cheaper price from someone who almost exclusively releases signed editions in limitations of 68 (less for tapestries) via Manifold/Paragon using a tiered model. I view it as another good example of a decently priced timed edition that will do well in the long term.

Fair play if it's a charity release I think it's less harmful to the artist.
