Roby Dwi Antono • Epic Fight Print, by qest on May 13, 2021 22:23:08 GMT 1, What if they shrank the edition and didn't tell all y'all? Would you still be upset? Doubt it. They don't get points for being nice, so they shouldnt get penalized for going the other way. Sit down b*TCH, be grateful. I can't imagine a single person whose purchase decision would have changed based on that increase. If this were a significant change in the number of prints, I guess I'd understand but an increase from 175 - 200 just doesn't seem like a big deal at all.

Can you refer me to an article or discussion on this? It’s been discussed on Discord. If you go on the marketplace history of Cesar Piette’s NFTs you can still see it.

If this were a significant change in the number of prints, I guess I'd understand but an increase from 175 - 200 just doesn't seem like a big deal at all. The issue is not the number of the edition (even if in theory the value could change, making it more rare). The issue is that twice the gallery has showed a dubious attitude (no presales - highlighted in the emails- then they have been caught with the pre-sales to vips); then the edition change and the silence behind it. If you think this is correct and fair…personally I don’t think so It could have been handled better for sure. I don't begrudge them, but they could have avoided the issue by saying that pre-orders wouldn't be available to the general public. If you were going for this print, I hope you received it and are happy with it.

Their initial response was pretty douchey and increasing the edition size of a print after the sale is pretty douchey. Why increase the edition when they could have just added 25 APs?

Roby Dwi Antono • Epic Fight Print, by artzzzy on May 14, 2021 7:23:52 GMT 1, The minimum they could do (and it would have cost them five minutes to do it) was sent an email to all the buyers explaining that due to what happened during the presale they had to increase the edition number to 200
And give everybody 24 hours to confirm their purchase or get a refund.
Any merchant who respects their clients would have done so.
Personally I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the print. Looks much better in person than online. But this is a different story and doesn’t justify the gallery’s lack of common sense and respect for patrons.

I would not put it in that sale. I would put it in a Phillips Hong Kong evening sale.

Epic Fight was a huge botched release with a link being posted early and it selling out before it went on sale. Many were only purchased because of this to flip. Very few of his other releases come up for sale. The most recent release was 100% draw.
