Constructive criticism only, you would assume with past issues out in the open that a full inspection would be carried out with both items taken out of the frame to be inspected.
Create more buyer confidence for those that are aware of the previous mishaps and create a larger pool of prospective bidders.
If a poor result blamed on the auction house credibility and will not count for the market , if a positive result the results used for private sales 🙄
At this stage with the auction house in question which all auction houses use at times how do you know the bids are not shilled and are genuine which is highly likely here

You do some research and see they have history of selling fakes since inception both privately, in auctions and after sales, got caught out and had to refund everyone and hoped it would go away.

This thread makes me want to vomit. Bid, or don’t. Simple as that. Anyone who has any passion for this hobby of ours knows that there’s some smoke around Tate, and where there’s smoke there’s fire. I’d bet 99% of the bidders are not as well versed in B artworks, GDP or not, as we are. Due diligence is on them, and tbh I don’t have much compassion for anyone that drops six figures on artwork without doing their homework. In the meantime, perhaps we should be a bit more civil while talking to each other here. This is our little community and we are all members of it; disagree and argue all you want, but with a bit of respect.
