The last screen shot I saw was Donuts at hammer of £60k and S&S at £65k. Add fees at 30% (25%+VAT) + 4% ARR to £50k and 3% from £50k to £200k is my maths.

I cannot be 100% sure but it appeared u/s Trolleys didn't sell but I could well be wrong.

Is it me or was that a really BAD WAY to run an auction?

ALL finishing at the same time..? No extra time if you bid in the last 2 mins? And no final result for others to see?

Am I the only one that feels a bit short changed?

Very poor mechanism and does not suit a seller as there is no last minute right of reply if you are the underbidder and also you cannot easily bid on multiple bids at the death. The Sothebys and Christies auctions showed how to do it, some lots carried on for 15mins after the planned close.

Danny might take note of that for the next timed auction. You really do need at least 5 minutes after being outbid at the death. 

Mind you some can get carried away, and bid more than they wanted to.

It's okay if you have plenty of funds, but sometimes it can lead to unpaid lots.

That's what the assessment I got back from the local gallery who sold it for me was.
That's a shame. It sold in 3 days, no doubt at that price.

I was just watching. But if I was going to sell at auction I would not be putting pieces into this format.

you should not add VAT when calculating final price. Not everyone pays that. Everyone pays the BP + ARR.

Terrible auction.
They missed the psychology of bidders that missed their first choice could bid on later lots. And if you were interested in several lots, but only could afford one, you only had time to bid on one.

Might be worth checking on here for advice next time? I think the same print had sold at Christies Auction House for over £70k a few weeks before you sold yours so I think you could have comfortably made another £20k+! Still I'm sure £26k was a lot more then you paid for it!
