Invader โข Invasion Kits IK, by ca on May 17, 2017 1:11:50 GMT 1, different categories in my book, you dont see kaws toys lose much value once unpacked because it's been categorized as "art", same with prints and what not, if an invader loses its value after unpacking then we're not in the "art" category anymore IMO as this was meant to be enjoyed on a wall and not in a drawer, then again it's my opinion

I have a Lego Millennium Falcon UCS 10179-1, once the plastic bags holding the pieces are open the value drops in half...doesn't matter if you never touch the bricks. Kaws toys come in boxes where the price drops in half/third if you don't have the original box and not so much if it's sealed or not. You actually want the figures open because there are so many fakes out there. The same can be said for shoes (kaws x jordan) once it's worn it's considered VNDS and will only sell for 1/2-3/4 it's value.

Unfortunately, all you need is some research and source similar looking tiles and you practically have this same invasion kit for under 50 dollars. The only thing that separates the home made and the one from invader is the sealed packaging.

The only thing that separates the home made and the one from invader is the sealed packaging. No, the only thing that separates the home made one is the type of rubber glue used, adhesive cover film on the tiles, packing envelope, proof of purchase, original carboard packing...... certainly a lot more to an invader than just finding similar tiles. The packaging forms a significant part of the kit whether its been opened or not. I can see a small premium for unopened kits, but cant see it seriously effecting the price. A piece without envelope is a different story though. There is a very significant difference between unopened toys that were ment to be played with and limited edition art pieces, the comparison / argument doesnt stand up in my eyes, its like arguing that a print kept in its tube is worth more than one kept in a folder because it was removed from its original tube... ๐ Then again, i opened my kits and enjoyed them, so I am a bit biased.

No! Its just the packaging... whether its sealed or not... it remains the packaging...
