For the sake of transparency, I have received offers up to the equivalent of £3350 since putting this up for sale yesterday afternoon.

I've also been advised that gallery prices are now in the region of a slightly crazy £6000 so, realistically, I would hope to sell this for at least £4,000 (plus shipping at buyers expense).

This is from the numbered edition of 150 issued in 2008, following the artist's visit to Nepal and measures 18x16cm.

I bought this kit from La Space Shop, I can provide order confirmation and I still have the original shipping box.

I have removed the kit from the original plastic, still has the original protective film over the front of the kit but is cracked on the bottom left corner. The tile on that corner is a bit loose, as you can see on the images, other than that is in perfect condition.

I’ll do my best to reply to everybody, but I’m not interested in offers below asking price or trades.

I'd rather have one framed, with it's pack separate, than have a sealed envelope that sits in a draw.

I agree. I saw one framed in the bag the other day and it looked rather silly.

I guess the concern is that, if opened, the bathroom tiles contained within could be swapped for other generic bathroom tiles?

or it could be just that art collectors have OCD in general. taking the tiles out of it's packaging is like getting an edge damage on a print.

not that easy to fake.... i have one and opened it.. plus if you have the og envelope its no problem...
nobody wants to keep the tiles and let the envelope go... the only coa...

holy crap... it's ment to take it out and put it on your wall.... who ever said it would fall in value or get damaged by open the envelope didn't understand s**t about invaders work...

If collectors are treating this like any other collectible/toy/figurine then yes, original packaging is everything if your trying to maximize value. Hot wheels, Star Wars, Legos all command significantly more with original packaging and even moreso BNIB.

If they were mounted on a board he could easily sign it. Others artists are doing this way..

In my opinion it will decrease the value at the end of the day...

Sad life of a piece of artwork wrapped in a draw... you haven't even seen the kit once... sad sad... investment attitude.. the day will come when kits are at that top value that it is worth checking by a pro... you can track if its origin or not at least by the ruber used to glue the tiles together... i bed you have some other options as well...
i opened mine... glued it under my ceiling on the wall in the corner above my other framed prints where it belongs... way better rhan in a dark grey plastic bag ;-)
