Looks like you got a bargain, it is an amazing print framed up. Mines at the top of the stairs and have lost my footing a few times gazing at it.

Valid concern, easily answered. Simply write gift/present on the shipping label and hey presto, no tax! I've been avoiding import duty to Brazil (65%) this way since I came here a year and a half ago. Without writing present on the item it's like paying twice!
In the UK, I believe the same trick works! I've never paid VAT and galleries in the US are always happy to do this for me, as are ebayers. After all nothing is lost at their end.

I was talking to someone about this just this morning. I would disagree with both of you. Stop and search heralds a new type of work for banksy - going back to his more simple roots and demonstrated by the new street work. The complexity of the LA Stuff seems to have gone.
As for trolleys - sacrilege!!
Banksys weakest recent piece - well for me it is probably applause or sale ends.

ahem interesting observations mr Pez.
S&S - though a well executed piece - includes ahem Dorothy from the wizard of Oz. - This imho taints the piece somewhat - my point being anonymity in an image is quite important.
See, for example, if Clarence from Daktari appeared in a piece it would be forever associated with that kids tv program from a long long time ago.
(tongue firmly in cheek of course!)
As for Trolleys - this is ranking up there at present with GWB for it's sheer simplicity.
Sale Ends has something (I'm sure for some) - but for me - not much -> I'm not going to be in a queue for that.

S & S seems to be going mental these days, by bond on Apr 4, 2008 12:08:12 GMT 1, This is exactly why art is so subjective and interesting for so many for numerous reasons.
It's great !
We should'nt all like the same thing .
For my two penneth , though S & S was'nt great when i first saw it - possible i was trying to get over the annoyance yet again of missing out ! but now .... I think it's a lovely piece and would agree with Pez that of the more recent works , Applause is prob the weakest .
Love trolleys too !

S & S seems to be going mental these days, by pezlow on Apr 4, 2008 12:12:51 GMT 1, Apologies if my comment wasn't clear - I love trolleys. I meant that it was sacrilege to describe it as one of Mr B's weakest.
As for clarence from Daktari the comparison is quite a good one as dorothy does look a little cross eyed in S&S.
For me though the prescence of dorothy lifts the whole piece. But then again I love the wizard of oz...

What about listing it as a return then? It came from the UK and VAT was paid on it's original sale, so fully insure and list as a return to source.
