I know theres a Dface forum but I wanted a broader opinion than just his fans. What does everyone think of his stuff? Iv seen some things I like, but alot I dont. Your thoughts?

I really think he has been developing his style over the last couple of years, but Im sure he has a really bright future ;D certainly one to watch

pretty much sums up my opinion on him. From what I've seen of his career, he will be an artist in the crowd, not one at the forefront and not one that will be able to escape the black hole that will be created when people get violently sick of "big, bad, oil-eating American corporations dropping dirty, environmentally-unfriendly bombs and grenades aimed at indigenous peoples led into battle by Che and the ghost of Cobain as screened by Warhol" vibe. It gets very, very tired after a while.

Nope, have a look through history, 90% of the works hanging in museums are based on politics. Either directly, sponsored by the church or indirectly, wealthy industrialist patrons. The work being produced today simply reflects peoples concerns and interests. When they stop bombing and raping the planet, I'm sure we'll see pastoral landscapes and still lifes making a comeback

The original post makes d* sound like he's just started.

D* has been around for years and collaborated with some of the biggest names in the art world. His prints sell out faster than a speeding bullet, people que for hours to get his stuff, the market on his prints has jumped sharply recently and he has got loads of exhibitions coming up.

I dont think there is anything else to say, except get his stuff now while you can and watch it in the next year when america gets hold of it all

But - Dface will definately be knocking around for some time.

I reckon he's knocked out some great work. Cliche is one of my favourites. The detail is superb, even my wife likes it. It will be interesting to see what he produces next.
