Sotheby's Art Auctions โข LONDON ๐ฌ๐ง, by samo on Mar 19, 2021 15:27:16 GMT 1, was there a signed happy choppers? Was pulled from the auction a day or so before the auction. Seems like a signed happy choppers and a signed LIITA were both pulled from Sothebyโs in that case, likely due to Pest Control concerns. Both are appearing in the Christies auction though. Pest Control concerns? Isn't every print verified (authenticated) by Pest Control prior to being included in the auction? I noticed that the regular version of Grin Reaper was also pulled, but that was just the day after the Christie's auction went live. So I guess the consignor of the regular GR saw the higher estimate at Christie's and probably got cold feet.

A seller canโt just pull a print from an auction on a whim. They will have signed a contract with the auction house.

However, I think only CYW pink, Kate Moss and CYW queue jumpers will get any serious attention. The remainder will probably settle again at the September 2020 pricing we have seen all year!!
At those estimates though I'd buy the lot !!!

However, I think only Choose Your Weapon pink, Kate Moss and Choose Your Weapon queue jumpers will get any serious attention. The remainder will probably settle again at the September 2020 pricing we have seen all year!! At those estimates though I'd buy the lot !!!ย

They are largely good images and couple have not been oversold but I fear these will be at the low end of the range for the sellers. However I would always be very careful on the condition reports from Bonhams as from my own experience I would describe them as "generous" and would ask for full HD pictures ideally out of the frame.
Sadly there is another us GWB in auction again!!
If I was a new buyer/collector this is where to go as these will be inexpensive as there is nothing in the sale to get the adrenaline pumping and to create a buzz!!
