well, its a really huge artwork...dont think the asking price is too high.

"The Killer Inside Me" (imo his strongest image!) was sold ago 5 months for 60k EUR.
The size is 183 cm x 152,5 cm.

Most of the late 80s work by him does not command the large prices we associate with him today.  Much of the work from that period is seen as derivative (many still dismiss him to this day for that reason) and has always sold for a fraction of work from the big red period (roughly a decade later) through today.  This piece in particular looks heavily borrowed from picasso and matisse as did much of the work back then.  Fwiw, this one last sold at sotheby's in march of '13 for $35k:

I agree on this being his strongest image, but his technical skills have developed even further, demonstrated in more recent work.

Ugh I hate that about P8. I was planning on watching hammer prices before the price vanished but I got caught up running errands and missed out. Hope there was some exciting last minute bidding, it was a good curation of works overall.

We love Powell's shots/pieces from that period; totally random and "being in the right place at the right time" - dude was a bit crazy (read: ballsy) to get some of the famous ones (Crawford, Warhol, Basquiat, Run DMC, EAZY-E, and of course the Beasties) -

If you can find a few of his interviews on YT (after you make sure they are palatable and/or perhaps child-safe 30 seconds in), he holds nothing back talking of these "chance encounters" he had with these burgeoning and veteran (alike) NYC stars.  

Ricky has a colorful and an intriguing history about that time-period which never disappoints.

Has anybody had any good or bad experiences with auctioning works through Paddle8 post-merger with Auctionata?

I was looking at a few of the recent auctions and saw that somebody bid $3500 for a collection of Agnes Martin prints in an ongoing auction and $1000 for a yellow Yayoi Kusama pumpkin in one a few weeks ago. Those prices struck me as a bit high as I had been able to procure the same works through very reputable sellers at lower prices in the past year or so. But if Paddle8 is a good partner, I'd be excited to see what I could get for mine. If people have had bad experiences with Paddle8, I'm just as happy keeping them.

A friend of mine said he had negative experiences since the merger. Apparently the last two auctions had issues. One ended days before the end date abruptly and then the site crashed 2 mins before the hammer time and buyers were not able to bid for the most crucial last 2 mins. He pulled his consignment pieces from him since. It'll probably take a minute to iron out the bugs of the merger...

I have a number of works currently listed with them. They're scheduled to end next week so I'll write a review here afterwards if they sell.

I haven't used them post merger, pre-merger was pretty dire. On the plus side I sold things, on the minus they screwed up everything post sale, it was really annoying. I'll give them a go in the next house sale I think though.

Sold few print with them and never get paid after hold those for 2 months!

You put the price than you like to get for a artworks and they will bid £10!lest so next one will get the artworks!
Total manipulation like artnet!
