Tried to do some research for insurance purposes but I have never been able to find much. My guess was £3k-5k but no idea really.

Shepard Fairey • Obama Prints, by Gentle Mental on Aug 29, 2019 5:00:06 GMT 1, I have both Progress and Hope offset. They were easy to get. Both took hours before they’ were sold out. The silk screen version looks better - glossy and thicker in Colors. Hope is a tad lighter. They are iconic. like soup cans or Indiana's LOVE. Part of world history now.

Hey, regarding this part "Shepard also sold some signed (not numbered) Hope offsets on thin paper (similar to the paper he uses for pasters)"
how much are the signed and dated 2008 posters worth?
the signed thin offsets (pasters) have been selling recently for between $1-2500 Hey, thanks so much for coming back and helping what about the thick, signed, dated posters?

He is legit.
He sells in all the major art fairs.
As for getting a letter of authenticity for a Hope 08 poster... Good luck with that. I don't think the prints came out with anything either. Those were the days...

Shepard Fairey • Obama Prints, by concrete jungle on Sept 2, 2019 16:23:31 GMT 1, Yep - you should have no problems with Dominic - I've bought a couple of prints off him (admittedly more contemporary British than urban) but all good. I also owned an Obama Hope back in the day, and there was no COA etc. Best you can hope (no pun intended) for is the original email receipt, but as others have pointed out back in 08 there wasn't as much emphasis on prov as today - more of an issue as prices sky-rocketed. Sadly sold my hope not long after getting it (never really found a place on the wall for it) but in hindsight its obviously a piece of urban art history. Do still have my Fairey Warholesque soup can though - love that image too.....

I am asking for something to show he got it from a good source but he is saying his word is enough :/ difficult to meet buyers demands atm - cant make the impossible appear!

The most anyone would have is an email reciept... and I guess not many get passed along when resold!

Shepard Fairey • Obama Prints, by scarlouise on Sept 11, 2019 12:06:31 GMT 1, Update
Dominic Guerrini in London has spoken to my assistant and does not understand the need of provenance, he deals with millions of pounds of art so his word is good enough.
I'd be careful and warn anyone against getting "genuine" items from him.

Shepard Fairey • Obama Prints, by Winter on Sept 11, 2019 13:27:11 GMT 1, I still have the original confirmation email for my Progress with Order Confirmation Number. Even in 2008 I thought it was worth keeping some kind of reference. If you're buying you may be able to contact Obey with the edition number to see who originally purchased it.

"On prints" I said on his pieces outside normal context. In MY case it was a WALLPAPER work. He gladly signed. My point was if he truly "gave some extras out" that are outside of the issue series, the obey shop would likely confirm at least that detail to help corroborate your story. Even if he wont sign it, that will at least lend credibility to your story
