Ben Frost ππ² Print Release β’ Australia β’ Pop Art, by dave313perry on Aug 30, 2007 18:19:39 GMT 1, Hi just stumbled accross New (i think new?) Ben Frost web-site Where you can buy Canvas versions of his prints for 300 AUS Dollars - Β£120ish
I think these images look way better on Canvas, although it would have been cool to see some new designs, these still look pretty cool! What do you guys think, reasonable price too, Maybe tickle the tastebuds of those Baldwin Fans?
www.stupidkrap.com/FROST_canvas.htm
A much better alternative for those that loath Giclee! (Moi)

Is this a giclee printed on canvas??? cant really see the point myself. I really like his stuff, but id prefer a canvas to be hand done and as these are editions of 100 im guessing there posh prints

Ben Frost ππ² Print Release β’ Australia β’ Pop Art, by Strange Al on Aug 30, 2007 18:56:46 GMT 1, Indeed they are giclee printed canvases. I'm guessing Dave's " " was a nod to this fact.
I do think they're quite effective as canvas prints. Means you don't have to frame them. Not that I'm gonna buy one.

Ben Frost ππ² Print Release β’ Australia β’ Pop Art, by dave313perry on Aug 30, 2007 20:14:05 GMT 1, Yeah i know they are still giclee, i guess i worded it all bollox! Giclees just look alot more effective in Canvas than they do on paper IMO - on paper they look like a coloured photocopy and canvas they look like they have a little more depth - would be better if they had a little hand finished detailing as well

Ben Frost ππ² Print Release β’ Australia β’ Pop Art, by rob123rob on Jun 7, 2007 1:41:47 GMT 1, Was just on Opus Underground's site, and saw some prints by Ben Frost. Very cool collages. My favorite is KMart After Dark. Anyone know anything about this guy, like his work, what do you think? Kinda reminds of Dan Baldwin, only more magazine cut-ups and less actual drawing/colouring.

Commissioned artwork include clients such as Mambo, Black + White Magazine, Shock Records, Half A Cow Records, Livid Music Festival, Blue Magazine, Virgin/EMI, Men's Style Magazine, Qld Poetry Festival, WhyBin, & the Melbourne and Sydney Fashion Festivals.

Ben Frost ππ² Print Release β’ Australia β’ Pop Art, by Simococo on Jun 11, 2007 20:10:49 GMT 1, I bought 4 of his prints from his Ben Frost is Dead website a few weeks ago and they look magic in the flesh even if they are a little on the small side. He also sells the images on drinks coasters.
