Correct, I don't think his market is mature yet. 16 years is nothing in art market history. Check where Banksy stands in the top selling 500 living artists vs where he should be (if like me you think he is one of the most important living artists)...

I agree, to me the image looked very rushed and wouldn’t even make my top 30 Banksy images.

I don't necessarily hate the image, but if somebody told me that it wasn't actually designed by Banksy, I would be tempted to believe it.

I have never understood the "social commentary" of this piece.

IMO.The heart shaped balloon flying away in the wind, with a bandaid on the side, speaks much more to me. The girl is not needed.

I do think the shredded version is classic.

I can remember (back in the day) standing outside Art Republic in Brighton one evening and in the window were 2 original hand sprayed 'Girl with Balloon' canvasses. About 600mm square. £ 450.00 each. I remarked to my wife how expensive I thought they were (LOL!)

But in reality I would have thought exactly the same and walked on.

I never heard about Banksy until 2015 or so, so no Banksy regrets here.

Must be signed, stamped and with Pest Control COA and in perfect condition.
Can be framed or unframed.
They are willing to pay up to $330k USD to shake one loose.

GWB obviously THE iconic image. But KOG hand sprayed, on canvas, and smaller edition.

I think that’s cheap for a kids on guns canvas. I thought they were more around £500,000?

Even at $400k that KOG would of been cheap, they have traded for over £500k recently.....

Doh, I scanned as 330GBP. It went for slightly more than that. Ignore me - I need second coffee obviously. Either way it was a good deal, but the seller was in a tight spot with their business due to CV.
