Wow, what a nightmare. The site crashed about a dozen times. Had one carted 3 times and then the credit card system failed. This ordeal took 1 & 1/2 hours, and still no print. Traumatic.

Jonas Wood is a mega star.  He blew up over the last few years.  Canvases that sold for $20k in 2011 now go for $400k.  He's been picked up by gagosian.  There's a Rusha/Wood show at gagosian SF right now: www.gagosian.com/exhibitions/ed-ruscha--jonas-wood--march-30-2017

The demand for his work is extremely high.

I am confused it was launched at £3000 even with the 20% off how could you have gotten it at £2100 shipped that makes no sense to me.

Nice pick up from people who got one. His art is extremely hard to come by. Always presold or sold instantly. it took me over a year to buy one for a family friend.

Met him a few years back in LA before the blow up, he is a nice dude. His wife is also a pretty good artist herself.

Not necessarily I'm in the USA and it crashed on me when I had one carted at $3400. Managed to get one in the end but paid a dear price for it.
Out of interest was there VAT added for the UK buyers?

Yes. Staring price was 3k as mentioned VAT included. With discount it was 2400. I love Jonas. An incredible artist. Counter editions by the way are an excellent outfit. Incredibly professional. This was always going to be in high demand. Reminded me of the old POW days.

Think UK were undone with our crappy internet, I couldn't even load the site then they showed sold out. I reckon most went to the US. I did at one point manage to get one into my basket then their system totally fell over. Counter Editions were made to look particularly bad by this release, their system couldn't handle it at all. Tin pot company.

Have you tried emailing them? Get them to send you an AP? Bad form especially when you acted in good faith and did nothing wrong. You are losing out on at least USD 5,600.
