Its interesting though as this print could set a precedent. I assure everyone this print was bought from POW and had a reply from Steph this evening saying that without a print number/ receipt/ order confirmation she won be able to verify until next year as she wont have time to look throught all of the sales (quite rightly too busy with 4 more to get out before christmas).
So I guess for now this thread will have to wait, but my mum is gonna look through old statements and try and spot it (bought Jan/ Feb 2004)..... Just had my mum on the phone. turns out I might have bought it and she's given me the cash, so I'll order a statement. Interesting stuff

Banksy • Weston Super Mare Print, by mido on Nov 23, 2006 2:44:45 GMT 1, POW have made a few VERY MINOR mistakes with my prints ... e.g. numbering out of 100 instead of 75 (took it back next time I was in area and they replaced), stamping it badly (it is particualrly difficult on the black glossy prints)...
they are only human.
Anyone who has run a business will know that often, over the years, things change, mutate, move on, get amended...... Therefore early systems will often change and when you look back you might think.... ooh, we weren't so good at the start were we... or our systems weren't so great...
but these minor mistakes are nothing more serious than that and certainly not anything as serious as 'forgetting' to number it. People who believe that seem to only be people who want to believe that there are such things are genuine un-numbered prints. there aren't. unnumbered prints are not genuine. pay for them whatever you think they are worth.....
Silky mate I agree with Nu, I have been to most of the Santas Ghetto`s and every print I have bought from them has always been advertised as Limited +numbered.....If anyone had got one without a number then there is no way that they would have kept it or not returned regardles of how much they cost............Trust Me at the time what ever the price was It felt like a lot of money it is just with hindsite that we can look back and laugh as too why we all thought twice about parting with the money. if Slowmo`s mum did genuinely buy from POW then as has been said it will not be hard to ask her credit card company for all her statements over a 6 month time span. I believe that the maximum they are allowed to charge you is £10 for copy`s of any info you need. And with regards to records that only really applies to the first few prints regarding signed numbers and who they supplied

I hate buying prints that have spent their long lives in a tube, makes me wonder why the original buyer bought it in the first place, it certainly wasnt to look at it !!
I would much rather it having been on a wall, and as i would only buy it to be on my wall, its a bonus being framed already

Signed was an edition of 150 not 50, last one sold on Ebay for £5800 which was very cheap IMO, Generally sell for £6500 - £8000
