Without going over old ground, despite Banksy's profile, we've only got 2 dealers selling his work (one of those being his manager) we have yet to see any significant auction sales, in fact, only 2 so far (ebay not included obv).

So despite all this, the market is being pushed higher and higher by a small group of individuals on this and other forums.

So what to do if you have a stack of prints under the bed, do you sell now, wait, frame all 20 and turn your house into a Banksy shrine (that's the sad option for a family man obv)??

I hate making comparisions because I can't!! We should be able to...... and it's pissing me off

This thread is for photos only for framed WESTON SUPER MARE prints. Rather than spending all that time looking for examples of a this print framed up... you can see and post examples in this thread! This will allow everyone on the board to have a look at what other people have done with each print to see how different mats, frames, and mountings look for each individual print. This should be a good way to save time from searching all over, plus it will give you some nice ideas for your Banksy!

Feel free to add photos of your framed example in each of the appropriate threads, there is a "Framed" thread under each print listed in the 'Banksy Limited Edition Prints' section. To keep each thread manageable and on topic, please refrain from commenting. Also, remember to resize images that may be oversized so everyone can have a proper look at your framing work!

And then when they had sold out they were still going on ebay for months after for less than £50

I have a weston Super Mare, bought directly from POW by my mum! Now that embarrasment is out the way, the edition is not numbered. Is this unique? Just wondering why this might be.

The only unnumbered that i'm aware of are the illegal 'backdoor' editions stolen/illegally printed, by the original Birmingham printers. You should double check where your mum actually bought it from, it's pretty much worthless without the numbering or signature. (well, perhaps worth 10% of it's real value)

It was a birthday present, I bought it using her card from the pictures on walls site. What has me really worried is that she got it framed and I just wonder if they shaved the print to a frame size(!), dont know the dimensions off hand do you?

Has the framer mounted the print? i doubt a framer would have shaved it.. it is possible that if there is mount around it then it is just covering up the number.. or the rebate of the frame could be covering it?

I've emailed POW to ask whats going on, hopefully they'll be able to clear it up. The frame itself is a specially made one for the print. It would have to be a tiny numbering to be hidden, but I will look when i get home tonight, thanks for everyone's help.

Well it seems I might be in a pretty unique situation. Definitely purchased from Pictures on walls, they have said pretty much mine is a fake! This is a shame as I know it is not, unless someone set up a fake pictures on walls to sell fake prints worth £45-60!

Hi, do you have a receipt or the credit card slip or confirmation email ? trawl through your bank accounts and see what you can find. Sounds very distrurbing.

No chance. At the time Banksy was just a bloke who made appealing prints, we had no idea the value would rise, so no receipt was kept. As for credit card bills, I could ask my mum if she keeps a record, but I don't like the odds.

Shouldn't be too hard to get a copy of the card statement from around that time direct from her issuer/bank.

hmmmm this is a bit worryin I have heard about in the rush at some Santa's Ghetto's they have not had had time to number the prints (does anyone else remember hearing that?) It sounds like yours could be one of those Hav POW told you its Fake, or are they just saying that they cant confirm its real ya see they are gonna be in a difficult position.
If it was one of those un-numbered Ghetto prints I feel really sorry for ya, coz the value is never gonna be anywhere near what it should be

Calm down Nu I was just saying what I had heard. This could have been back from before this forum started, back on the ebay one when it only had about 20 members. POW are not gonna admit to it are they, but you must realise that the POW records back then are not as well kept as they are now.

Silky mate I agree with Nu,
I have been to most of the Santas Ghetto`s and every print I have bought from them has always been advertised as Limited +numbered.....If anyone had got one without a number then there is no way that they would have kept it or not returned regardles of how much they cost............Trust Me at the time what ever the price was It felt like a lot of money it is just with hindsite that we can look back and laugh as too why we all thought twice about parting with the money.
if Slowmo`s mum did genuinely buy from POW then as has been said it will not be hard to ask her credit card company for all her statements over a 6 month time span.
I believe that the maximum they are allowed to charge you is £10 for copy`s of any info you need.

And with regards to records that only really applies to the first few prints regarding signed numbers and who they supplied
