I have some god awful childhood memories of this place! I haven't been for ages and I very much doubt it's got any better.
Brean sands just down the road was even worse. I remember once getting stuck up to my waist in thick mud / sand. Lovely ;D

It's a place where lots of old people go to retire. They all walk slow and get in your way. They take up all the seating too.

I went to art college there and just love Banksy's view on the place.

Personally my fave print of all time.

from his days driving a cab in NYC

"I remember well the graffiti of Haring and Basquiat, when I first moved to New York in ’82. Did I ever tell you about my sneaker? I had Warhol, Haring, and Basquiat together in the back of my cab. While driving I took off my sneaker and shoved it through the partition opening. Each did something – Warhol his signature, Haring a cartoon, and Basquiat his name. I proudly wore the sneaker until it fell apart then threw it out, saying to all that it was street art and I was just part of the ecosystem in naturally dissolving it, or some such verbal crap. All three have been dead for a while and I wish I had that shoe now!"

I vaguely remember him wearing those shoes when I visited NY

if so 1600 sounds quite cheap a signed m onkey queen i would imagine is around a grand leaving love is in the air and weston supermare at 300 quid each...sounds cheap to me!
