Soup cans poster from the POW closing down sale.

I have the email confirmation which I can forward on if wanted.

Small bit of creasing to the corner, I can send pics if needed.

Hi guys,

Wonder if anyone can help. A friend of mine bought a soup cans poster claimed to be from POW closing down sale, I have a the same poster that I bought direct. He bought it round to compare with mine and it’s much smaller, the width is 45cm and mine is just shy of 60cm. I told him it was fake and a reproduction and to return it. The vendor on eBay he bought from claimed they printed two different sizes of the poster. Sounds like bullshit to me and I’ve looked at all auction sales and can only find sizes that match my poster, can anyone shed some light. I just want to make sure before I accuse someone of being a fraudster.

sounds like a fake to me, mine is the same as yours and i've never heard of a smaller version

I’ve never understood why bootlegger get the paper size wrong, surely it’s the biggest give away? If you’re going to go to all the trouble to try and defraud people it’s not that hard to match paper sizes.

Did that copy sell or was it just advertised for £1500? Considering there was 5 or 6 cheaper on eBay I’d be surprised. The last one I saw sell on here was for around £900 I believe.

I have absolutely no idea, perhaps wishful thinking on my part. But it was adverstised for that, and a short time later marked at sold. So maybe somewhere around that price.

To be fair the cheapest ones on ebay now are around £1000 but I'd be surprised if someone stumped up £1500. Stranger things have happened though! I've been keeping my eye out for one and seem to remember the last few selling for around £800-£950 on here.

Recent ebay sales look to be fetching in the region of £700 - £800. Hard to be certain as most sellers have accepted offers below asking, but it's clear that quite a few have shifted for below £900 recently.
